Memories of the past hunted me. Mababaliw na ba ako? Lying awake at 2 a.m., tomorrow's looming return to that house fills me with dread, and the thought of seeing him again is unbearable.
I gently tilted my head from side to side, attempting to clear my mind and drift back to sleep.
Hindi talaga ako makakatulog! Maybe some glass of milk would help?
Tumayo ako at nagtungo sa kitchen. I halted my efforts upon realizing my kitchen was barren, a reminder that I hadn't gone grocery shopping yet.
Ngumuso ako at bumalik sa kwarto. In pursuit of relaxation, I strolled over to the bookshelf, breathing deeply, and began scanning titles to find the perfect bedtime companion.
Skip ako ng skip sa binasa kasi ang daming Bedscene. As a sudden warmth spread throughout my body. Frustrated, i slam the book shut, closing my eyes in annoyance.
Gage popped into my head, and my face lit up —what a wild memory! I tried to shrugged it off my head but it keeps repeating it.
Ungol ko ang naririnig ko sa aking utak as i moan his name repeatedly.
I shifted uncomfortably on the sofa, averting my gaze from the tv.
I was drunk and can't recall what happened. He won't tell me, he just say "You remember" with a smile grin on his face. Annoying me!
I wonder what he's up to now. Did he look for me after I left? Is he thinking about me? Did he try to find me? I think he did not...i assumed his mother had enlightened him, and he now understood the situation.
I wanted to express my feelings openly, but no one listened, except Gage.
Lahat ng sakit na nararamdaman sa nagdaang taon wala akong mapagsabihan because no one cared to listen. Gage did.
I liked him...infact...I'm inlove with him.
He made me feel things I'd never felt before and showed me what it means to be truly loved, just like my mother did.
We have our limitations, and we're far apart, but thanks to his help, this is just the beginning. If he felt the same way i will fight for the both of us.
I can feel his unbreakable love for me. Despite leaving without a goodbye, I know he'll come for me, even if it means facing his mother. And here i am waiting for him.
If he follows me here within a month and shows up in front of me. That means he has already broken the wall his mother built between us.
I finally fell asleep and woke up 8 a.m naligo na ako at nagbihis. Malamig ang panahon ngayun kahit na kita pa din ang sinag ng araw, I wore a white V-shirt, a Korean blazer, an above-the-knee black skirt with a Gucci belt and white shoes.
I checked myself in the mirror before heading out and combed my hair with my fingers as I walked towards the elevator.
The elevator was about to close when a kid rushed in; fortunately, I quickly pressed the "open" button.
"Thank you, Miss." He smiled as he stand beside me.
I was amazed when he tapped the 4th-floor button and returned to his original spot. He was holding flowers, so I immediately asked, "Who are they for?"
He turned to me with a smile. "For my girlfriend." I was stunned, blinking twice. "How old are you?"
He simply showed me his hands, still clutching the bouquet, indicating he was 7. I was surprised; I'd thought he was 9, given his height.
I chuckled, amused, and asked again, "Do your parents know?" He nodded.
"They actually forced me to give this to her, and I had no choice but to follow," he said, I furrowed my brow in confusion.
The elevator opened, and he walked out. My gaze followed him as the doors closed.
Why would his parents do that to a 7-year-old?! What the heck...I couldn't believe they'd force a child into that. A relationship at 7 is absurd!
Unbelievable! Some parents nowadays prioritize personal gain over their child's well-being, putting them at risk.
Mother. Look how messed up, sad and scary this world can be.
Upon entering the lobby, I slowed my pace, noticing Gale seated on the sofa, engaged in conversation with someone standing before him.
What the hell is he doing here!
Tearing my gaze away from Gale. As I continued walking, the man standing before him noticed me and gestured, prompting Gale to turn. He swiftly stood up.
I quickened my pace, but he matched my stride with long steps, swiftly blocking my path. His eyes, though heavy with emotion, softened as our gazes met.
I stopped, arching an eyebrow. He sighed heavily, biting his lip and squeezing his eyes shut.
"Sage." He mentioned my name like a whisper.
"I'm sorry."
Gale's apologetic words hung in the air. "Sorry?" I repeated, eyes blazing. "Can that undo everything? Can an apology fix EVERYTHING, Gale?"
"You're not one to chase after someone, so I'm curious – what brings you here?"
His jaw clenched as he struggled to speak, but only a sigh escaped. "Look, can we talk somewhere else?" His eyes darted to the onlookers, then back to me.
I scoffed. "Isn't that what you're used to – causing scenes in public?"
"Gale, what do you really want?" I asked calmly.
He remained silent, his tired gaze meeting mine, but evoking no sympathy. I walked past him, but he grasped my elbow, halting me. "I want you," he whispered, enough for me to heard it.
"But I don't." I freed myself from his grasp and stepped back. "I can hardly believe you'd say that."
I froze, shocked as he knelt before me. Nanlamig ako sa kanyang ginawa, everyone's jaws dropped and the whispers began. Napa lunok akong naka tingin sa kanya, i took another stepback but he held my arm.
I stepped back, but he held my hand tight. "H-Honey, please," his voice cracked and trembling, tears streaming down to his face.
"Gale, stand up!" I said firmly, but he shook his head, unmoving.
"A-Ano bang gusto mo? Tumayo ka, fine. let's talk somewhere." His grasp tightened, defiantly remaining kneeling. Chaos erupted outside as paparazzi breached the guards.
"G-Gale tumayo ka." Ulit ko.
"T-Take me back...Honey please take me back." I fought back tears, but it slipping silently down my cheek.
I shook my head, attempting to withdraw my hand from his firm grip.
"T-Tumayo ka sabi!"
"I missed you, honey. Please, I'm sorry... I'm sorry," he repeated. "I'll be a better husband. I swear, I promise. Please, Sage..." nanginginig ang balikat niya he kissed my hand.
Anong bang nagyayari sa kanya? This is completely unexpected!
"Gale, Please stop this." Pilit kong patayo sa kanya, Dumadami na ang media sa labas some even tried to get past on the guard, tumulong na din yung mga staff.
His grip loosened, allowing me to reclaim my hand. I swiftly ran towards the elevator and pressed the close button, leaving him behind. He remained kneeling on the same position as he watched me.
