EPILOGUE

My phone rang, but my body refused to budge, and my eyes desperately yearned to shut tight. At nakatulog ako.

I had this recurring dream...about the boy I first met when I was 10, then unexpectedly reunited with at 15, and again at 20.

I desperately want to recall his identity and the reason behind our repeated encounters.

Maybe kami talaga para sa isat isa? Or pinaglaro-an lang kami ng tadhana. I don't believe in happy endings and i clearly don't know my happy ending.

People come and go. They live, they die. They lose, they win. They achieve success, but not happiness.

Which one have i got?

I used to think the world was unfair, but now I realize it's not. What you do is what you get. Your life is in your hands; it's up to you to control your choices and shape your destiny.

I'm grateful to have experienced this beautiful world, despite its ups and downs. Amidst sadness, happiness prevails. Though some memories fade, joyful ones linger.

The accuracy of predictions is uncertain.

Malungkot akong bumalik sa spain dahil sa balita. Ikakasal daw si Gage...i know this is just a dream i refuse to believe but what if it will happen when i woke up?

Standing alone before the church, overwhelmed and torn, I'm tempted to halt the wedding and unravel everything within me. I witnessed Gage's sorrowful eyes locking onto his bride as he whispered, "I do," before his lids closed. Suddenly, I was lost, floating in darkness. When I opened my eyes, I found myself standing in the middle of the road, staring death in the face as a car hurtled toward me. Resigned to fate, I shut my eyes tight. But when I opened them again, I was back in my own bed, gasping for breath, freed from the haunting dream.

Napa hilamos ako sa mukha at pinikit ang mata.

That was just a dream, that was just a dream.

I said repeatedly on my mind. I notice my phone in under the lamp so i took it and pop missed calls from my secretary Sylvia.

Binuksan ko ito. Kagabi siya tumawag pero sobrang pagod ako kaya hindi ko nasagot.

"Señora Sage, ¿dónde está?"
Maam Sage, Where are you?

"¡Es muy importante! ¡Contesta el teléfono!" This is very important! Pick up the phone!

"Necesitas regresar ahora. ¡Tu novio está anunciando una fiesta de compromiso y hay muchas personas invitadas!" You need to come back now! Your boyfriend is announcing an ingagement party and many people are invited!

I froze upon reading the message and instantly rose to my feet.

"ANO??!!!" Taas baba ang hininga ko hindi makapaniwala.

Hindi naman magawang gumawa ng kwento si Sylvia. This can't be real what the heck!

Agad akong tumakbo sa CR para maligo.
