Althea's POV

Last night's dinner with my dad was amazing, you never really know how much you missed a person if you haven't seen them again in flesh. We talked about everything he congratulated me for all my success telling me that all this time my mom was right like she has always been, that she has given me the life I deserve. I caught a hint of sadness in the edge of his smirk so I just told him that if it wasn't for him and the love he gave me and the sacrifices he had done I won't be where I am now. He just smiled my favorite smile and told me that whatever happens he will always be with me. He also reiterated how much he wants me to take anyone home for him to meet cause as he said he's not getting younger and he wants me to be with someone...

"Althea anak, wala naman na akong masasabi at mahihiling pa sa magandang takbo ng mga negosyo mo ang sa akin lang ayokong mawala ako ng wala ka pa ding kasama sa buhay. Yung magmamahal sayo at mamahalin mo." He said seriously

"'Tay darating ho tayo jan, kapit lang okay?" I replied with the most encouraging smile I can muster

I also tried to convince him to stay with me at my condo but then he said he just can't leave the house and all of it's good memories. So I just went home with him that night even though he's convincing me to go home I stayed and slept in my old room.

It was around seven in the morning I was preparing breakfast for me and tatay  when I received a call from Batchi.

"Hello Batch? Isn't it too early for this? Did you missed me again?" I teased

"Hello Dude! Asan ka ba kasi? andito ako sa condo mo kaso nakailang katok at doorbell na ako wala namang tao." She said a little pissed off

"Ay sorry andito ako sa bahay, I was out on a date last night with tatay and I decided to sleep here nalang din. Teka bakit ka ba kasi anjan ang aga aga?"

"Pearl called kasi she wanted to meet you in person for you guys to be acquainted with each other."

"Pearl who? Yung big client mo? Oh what's the rush? I can meet her tomorrow? Can't I?"

"Yeah siya yung big client, but dude she wants to meet you now, not now now I mean around lunch time?"

"What? Eh I was planning to spend the whole day with tatay..."

"Althea it's fine. I'm fine. You can go." tatay butt in

"Oh okay naman pala kay tatay eh. Please dude? This Pearl is one hell of a demanding rich doctor talaga but there's nothing we can do the costumer is always right diba?"

"Alright alright. I'll meet you sa office then?"I said defeated

"Yes please! You're a life saver!" she delighted

After my short breakfast with tatay I left, I dropped by my condo to dress appropriately I'm still pissed off at Pearl by the way. It's not my actual job but then what can I do all for the sake of friendship. *heavy sigh* I was checking myself on the mirror I am wearing a lady tux of all black and a plain white v-neck shirt underneath while doing so I am trying to compose myself we're in the Philippines Althea and we're dealing with Filipinos in today's case Filipino-Chinese. We're not in New York where people are easy and straightforward. This will be a long day if I may. After a few I gathered everything I need and called Batchi.

"Hello Batch, I'm on my way. Asan na yung client mo? Ayoko ng late."

"No problem nasa parking lot naman na siya. Chill ka lang please? Hintayin ka namin sa office mo."

"Okay be there in a few."

One good thing about my condo is that the elevator ride is actully longer than my walk to the other side of the road to the company building so I don't have to bring my car. I was already in the building making my way to my office. I didn't know I have one cause it's not actually my own company, though part of the revenue is. Anyways I like what Batchi did with my office it's like the extension of my own place, spacious, accented with black couches tables and chairs, elegant white ornaments and plastic flowers and the old oak colored wooden floor matched with the panoramic glass window over viewing BGC.
