5. Of Testing Waters and Wedding Preparations

The next two months of my stay here in the Philippines has been boring and uneventful mostly because I am making sure everything about Pearl and Gab's wedding was perfectly dealt with, from the way Pearl has described what she wanted to see to the execution I made sure that I am totally hands on. And then again I am slowly pushing the thought of finding true love in the back of my mind. I am a workaholic and I admit that because there's no other thing I am good at other than my work. So yeah it resulted to years of being alone. 

I am in my office now hunched in front of my laptop checking the updates of the wedding preparations when I heard a light knock on the door.

"Come in." I said without seeing who it was

"So you're caged here all this time?!" I abruptly darted my eye to the person who shouted at me, Isabelle.

"Well nice to meet you too?" I smiled

"I was looking for you all over the Philippines dear and you're here hunching over something boring?" She said while walking towards my side of the table and leaning against it. I suddenly felt convulsive. I haven't seen her in weeks until she barge in dressed like she's going to strut on a runway fashion show. With the tight white pencil cut skirt topped with another tight floral cropped top her hair is a mess, well the kind of mess you see on Solenn Huesaff so it's absolutely sexy. 

I glided my chair to my right releasing a slight unconscious whistle and then I froze I know she heard it because she let out a faint chuckle

"Since when did you learn to whistle to someone who turns you on, Althea?" her faint chuckle suddenly burst in to a pool of giggle to laughter so i just decided to join in.

"I didn't?! I just let out a sigh."

"Yeah you let out a sigh while moving a few inches away from me because I turned you on." she said with a wink and the small of her tongue sticking out on me mocking.

"Anyway what brought you here m'lady? Of whom do i owe this pleasure of laying my eyes on you?" I said standing up catching her eyes and smirking.

She pouted while saying "You never called me after the bar night I thought you were mad So i let you be but 2 months Althea? Seriously?"

"I'm sorry dear, got a lot of things to do. You see there's this overly demanding doctor who's getting married in a few weeks and she want me to fix everything for her." I said

"Aww is that so?" She acted concern "I think I know exactly what you need." She said while pulling me out of my office

"Hey wait!... Batchi!... Check wedding updates!!!.. BRB!!"

I saw Batchi peeking out of her office door smiling foolishly. I get it she's behind this. I internally grunt and let the sexy lady drag me to wherever she pleases. We were already in her car when I finally found my tongue

"Where are we going?!" I said acting pissed

"Shhh" she shushed putting a finger on my lips. "I am saving you from the wrath of the overly demanding doctor. We're so going to have lunch! I'm hungry as a horse!"

I laughed at her and said "You're too beautiful for a horse." and settled in the passenger seat and fixed my seat belt.

We went to a fine dining restaurant with a 5 course meal and champagne on the house.

"Aren't this a little to over for a lunch?" I asked hesitantly

"Nah! i feel fancy today. So I decided to dress fancy as you can see, and now we're getting a fancy lunch. okay m'lady?"
