Jade's
I was laying flat on my bed staring intently on the ceiling hoping it will magically tell me what's happening to me. I just got home from the night out with Sally and Althea and their absence were made notable by how spacious my room was. Especially Althea. I found this certain kind of comfort with the way she talked me out of my fear, the way she encouraged me, the way she held my hand cautious yet calming and the way she view things. She really has the confidence I lack maybe that's why I have this budding admiration for her.
I was staring at her number on my phone battling over calling or messaging her when my phone suddenly buzzed it's David.
Hello?
Hello hon? Just checking, so how was your night out with Sally?
It was great. I just got home.
Really? Why do you sound sad?
No I'm just tired, it's getting late I'll just talk to you tomorrow okay?
Alright hon, Goodnight. I love you.
Goodnight David. You too.
After I ended the call I instantly fell asleep.
I was woken up by my mom for breakfast, while we're at the table I asked my dad if he can squeeze me into one of our offices for whatever job available, they all seem surprised ahya Gab and dihya Paul almost snorted their coffee when they heard the word 'job' from me. But even though they're all skeptical, I think my dad saw the determination in my eyes so he let me be. He called someone from the office and made some arrangement and viola! I am now a working girl.
I messaged Althea right away telling her that now I am not only a beautiful unproductive something something but also a photocopier. damn! But what can I do? I lack the experience.
It was already 4 pm of the same day, I decided to start right away, I was obviously doing my mighty task of photocopying, stapling, and filing papers when
"So it's true? The great Jade Tanchingco really is a working girl now? I'm impressed."
I turned around and saw her.
"I'm not gonna lie to you. Yet I ain't that proud but hey I'll be the best photocopier in this building!" I exclaimed like my job really pays off
"That's the spirit! Start from the bottom and then work your way up to the top." she said grinning widely
"Yes until I am featured on TIME Magazine" I said teasing she raised an eyebrow
"On what list will you be then? 2015 Best Photocopier?" she said cracking up
"Hey! that's my job! Don't mock me!" I blurted joining her
"I was suppose to ask you out but then you look busy..."
"No! it's fine this is the last batch I can go home after this, wait for me please? I'll treat you! since you're the reason why I have a job now!"
"Alright then. I'll wait for you."
"Really?!"
"Yes. I'll wait for you no matter what." she said winking "But I got plans for us, is that okay?"
"Sure! Even better."
She did wait for me for like an hour, she was already waiting in the parking lot so I just went there. I easily spot her, well don't get me wrong but who wouldn't notice a being looking like her? She really look good in whatever she wears. While I look like a hamster in a pink dress. (Kidding!)
