Why Me? (Loki x Reader)

On Asgard, The Warriors Three, Lady Sif, Loki and You were talking about Thor's banishment, Lady Sif, you, Fandrall and Volstagg were sat across 3 different sofas, Loki was standing and Hogun was pacing between the sofa Lady Sif was sat on and the sofa Volstagg was sat on.

"We should have never let him go" Volstagg says.

Sif looks over at Volstagg "There was no stopping him"

"Atleast he's only banished, not dead" Fandral comments. "Which is what we'd all be if that guard hadn't told Odin where we had gone"

Loki was staring at his hands, which were shaking ever so slightly. You'd been concerned ever since you'd gotten back from Jotunheim, he hasn't been the same.

"Who even told the guard?" Volstagg asks.

"I did" Loki confesses

"What?" Fandrall questions as you, The Warriors Three and Lady Sif all turn to Loki.

"I told the guard to go to Odin after we'd left. Though it shouldn't have taken him so long, we shouldn't have even got to Jotunheim"

"You told the guard?!" Volstagg asks loudly

"I reconsidered what Y/N said after the Jotuns snuck into Asgard. I saved our lives, I had no idea father would banish Thor for what he did"

You look down at your lap, smiling. You were happy Loki atleast listened to you. Thor had told you many times that Loki only listens to you, which is nonsense.

Lady Sif stands up, approaching Loki. "Loki, you must go tell the Allfather to change his mind"

"Then what? I love Thor dearly, more than any of you. But you saw how he was today, he was dangerous, he was reckless, is that what Asgard needs of it's king?" Loki argues before walking away.

Lady Sif walks after him before stopping and turning around. "He may speak for the good of Asgard, but he's always been jealous of Thor"

"Watch how you speak of Loki" You speak up, "He may not be in this room, but he is of Asgard royalty"

There is a few moments of silence, Volstagg finally says:

"We should be grateful, he saved our lives"

"Laufey said there were traitors in the house of Odin" Hogun says, "It would take a master of magic to bring three of the Jotun into Asgard"

"Loki's always been one for mischief but you're talking about something else entirely" Fandrall says

You stand up after Fandral says that, walking out the room to find Loki, to make sure he was okay.

You find Loki in the vaults of Asgard, standing with his back to the tesseract, he was talking to Odin, who was stood at the entrance of the room.

Loki was blue, he had the features of a Jotun, you stay hidden behind the door, just as Loki says:

"What more than that?"

Loki steps closer to Odin, the blue fading from his skin, "The casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?"

"No" Odin says truthfully, "I went into the temple, and I found a baby. It was small for a Jotun offspring, but it was suffering, left to die, Laufey's son"

"Laufey's son?" Loki questions, looking to the left.

"Yes"

Loki's breathing got slightly heavier, he was confused and angry.

"Why? Why would you take me?"

"You were an innocent child"

"No, you took me for a purpose, what was it?"
