After her shower Billie went back to Matthew. He was scrolling on his phone more than likely talking to other women. He cheated on her all the time but she couldn't say anything about. She nervously got back in bed. He immediately grabbed her pulling her close. She was tense. "Relax, I want to talk to our child" he says. She wanted to sob. This baby wasn't his, he had no right to act like it is. Jesse should be the one in his place. She heard Matthew talking to the baby which should've been a sweet moment but for Billie it was heartbreaking. The moment was interrupted by a knock on the door. Matthew answers it. "Here's your food babygirl" he says. She hesitantly got up and grabbed her dinner. Suddenly she felt a wave of nausea which she knew was the baby whining in protest because she hadn't eaten. She took her food over to the desk sitting down. She began eating to satisfy her baby. Her body instantly started to feel better. She heard Matthew texting on his phone. She was hoping he'd leave again but he stayed in bed on his phone the whole time.
At least dinner was quiet. The baby finally settled much happier that she had finally eaten. Once she was finished she threw away her trash and climbed in bed. She tried to stay away from Matthew but he pulled her against him. "I can snuggle my wife whenever I please! Don't pull away from me again!" He growls. She nodded her head yes and tried to relax. It was hard when she was in the arms of her abuser. "Tomorrow we are looking at houses" he says. "O-Ok" she responds. She closes her eyes trying to fall asleep but of course Matthew had ulterior motives.
"They're in New York" Jesse says to Jake. He was done wasting time. He had a plan that would out Matthew and save Billie. He would make an anonymous post accusing Matthew of abusing poor the girl. He just had to make sure it wouldn't get traced back to him. He didn't want to put Billie at risk but he needed to do this. "We'll start with something like Matthew Tyler Vorce is abusing his girlfriend, here's the proof It wasn't the most creative headline but at least it would grab people's attention. Jesse and Jake began creating the article filling it with facts and pictures from the internet where Billie and Matthew were together. He pointed out where there were bruises. He hoped this would work this was his last chance.
"I like the size of this one" Matthew says to the real estate agent. Billie just stood by him quietly. She was afraid to say anything. He had a tight grip on her wrist. "What do you think babe?" Matthew asks squeezing her wrist harder. "I-It's nice" she replies trying not to cry. He was hurting her. He kept dragging her along place to place. She didn't care where he picked to live at this point she just wanted to go back home. She started to feel nauseous again. She got Matthews attention. "What?" He growls. "I'm nauseous again" she says softly. He scoffs "Then go outside or something I'm sick of your complaints" he barks. She pulls away and steps outside of the house breathing in the fresh air. She really considered running but where would she go? She was in New York City where she didn't know anyone. She still felt sick, the baby was clearly not happy. "I love you but you're making everything difficult" she chuckled rubbing her small tummy. She took a few minutes to try and feel better. She honestly started feeling worse. She refused to go back in with Matthew, she was scared to. She looked at her wrist seeing a huge bruise. She stroked it with her thumb letting tears fall. She had to run. She took off down the street running as fast as she could. She had her phone, a little bit of cash, and her I.D. She wondered off into the city getting further and further away from Matthew.
"I'll send over that paper work soon" the real estate agent said to Matthew as they exited the house. "Sounds good" Matthew replies. As they exit he looks for Billie. When he didn't see her he started to freak out. He immediately called his security guard. "She's missing again find her! He growls. He started walking down the street looking for her. His blood was boiling, he couldn't believe she ran away again. It was clear that he had to keep her locked up.
Billie came across a gas station which she immediately went into. She didn't feel safe in the city. She also didn't want Matthew to catch her. She had to figure out how to get back to L.A where Jesse was where their baby would be safe. She walked around trying to figure out a way to leave this place. Suddenly she recognizes one of Matthew's men. She gasps and ducks down trying to hide from him. "Miss O'Connell" she heard a voice say. It was him. She teared up and stood up not looking at him. "Matthew is worried come on let's get you back to him" his deep voice says. She doesn't argue she knows she's in trouble. The man took her back to Matthew. He looked really pissed off. She tried to think of a good excuse so she could save herself. "She was at the gas station down the street" the man says. Matthew quickly snatched her wrist. "Why were you at the gas station?" He growls. "I needed medicine the nausea got worse" she replies. He sighs annoyed. "Next time tell me that and we'll go together. You could've been kidnapped!" He says angrily. "I'm sorry" she says meekly. He practically drags her back to the uber. The ride is silent until they get back to the hotel. "You're lucky you're pregnant because if you weren't I'd beat you" he seethes. She couldn't respond. They go up to their room and begin packing up to go back home. She was ready to go back home. "If you try escaping again I'll lock you in my basement" he threatens. "Yes Matthew" she responds. She didn't care about his threat she would get herself away from him, she had to for her sweet baby.
