I open the passenger's seat door open for Leslie to step out. She is finally going to meet my best friend and my boyfriend. It's exciting.

"So, they practise in a garage?" Leslie asks, analysing the house.

"Yeah, like every good old rock band starts off."

"Let's go inside so I can meet them then."

I do a secret knock on the garage door so that they know to open and let me inside. It may sound silly, but we only do this because once someone stole Markus' and his bandmates' equipment. It wasn't easy for them to gain enough money to buy brand new equipment, and so they were forced to cancel band rehearsals so they could work and get the money they needed.

The garage door opens and I am welcomed with my hot boyfriend leaning against the wall with a huge smile. I can't get enough of gawking at him.

"Hey there, babe," Markus greets.

I smile and peck his lips. "Hello."

"Who's this?"

"Oh, guys, this is Leslie. Leslie, this is Markus, my boyfriend and lead singer; Bianca, my best friend and supporter, alongside me; Brad, the bassist; Josh, the drummer; Tim, the lead guitarist; Ollie, the rhythm guitarist; and Denny, the keyboardist."

Everyone welcomes Leslie like she's been a part of our group for ages, which is exactly why I adore them so much.

"Ki, you never told me that you had a new friend," Bianca says, slightly offended. "You're super pretty, Leslie!"

"Aw, thanks, you too."

"So, how do you know Kira?"

Leslie looks at me unsure on what to say for a split second. "Our parents are close, so we met through them at a meal our families organised together."

Good save, Leslie! Not even I would be able to come up with a story like that so quickly. We should've prepared this before coming here.

"Oh, that makes sense. I'm still a little upset that you didn't tell me about Leslie," Bianca says, with a disappointed gaze aimed at me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it would be too important until we got closer, at least. Just be happy that I finally introduced you guys."

"So, what kind of music do you guys play?" Leslie asks the band.

"A variety of rock music. Soft, heavy, the list goes on," Josh responds for everyone.

"That's pretty awesome. Can I hear?"

"Sure."

They all get their equipment ready and then begin playing one of their favourite songs. "Tear-filled Blood". It's a song about an abusive boyfriend, he beats her every time he's on heavy drugs until she bleeds from every wound and gets intense bruises. That's for the 'Blood', as for the 'Tear-filled', it's obviously her tears, I don't even need to explain that part. Her tears mix with her bleeding wounds. Before you accuse them of having messed up ideas to write a song, it's based on an actual real-life event. Denny's mother went through that, and so she let out her rage through this song. It's a great mix of soft and heavy rock, which helps them to explore both depressing and furious moments of that event. It's a very captivating song, in my opinion, and I absolutely love it. That's saying something because I'm not the rock songs kind of girl, I prefer pop and classical songs. So they must be pretty good.

"So, Leslie, what did you think?" Brad asks, every other band member awaiting her response.

"It sounds awesome, guys! Why are you all still here in the garage? Why don't you put yourselves out there?"
