"So, I wanted to let you know that I've invited Leslie and Benedict to tonight's Christmas party," Markus announces.

"Really? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I know how fond you are of them, so I wanted it to be a surprise."

"You're so sweet when you want to be."

"I try my best." I peck his cheek and he smirks down at me.

In case you're wondering, yes, it's Christmas season already. Time flies by so fast. It feels like only yesterday I was diagnosed with cancer, but it's been 2 months since then. So much has happened. Benedict finished the website a few weeks ago, and it's been blowing up with interaction from fans. They still don't have that many fans, but they're enough to help them increase the number. Leslie and I have been going through treatments, which I'm not too psyched about. The doctors announced that the side effects will not be looked forward to. They didn't explain exactly what will happen, probably because they don't want to scare us, but I'm curious. My parents have been closer than ever, therefore it's great to have my father home, it hadn't been the same without him. Last but not least, I haven't spoke to Benedict properly ever since my talk with Leslie. He's been attempting to grab my attention, but I try my best to avoid him, which works most of the time.

"What are you thinking about?" Markus asks.

"Just everything that's happened in the past 2 months."

"Oh yeah, can you believe that we have reached 487 fans already?"

"Oh my gosh, seriously!? That's amazing, babe!"

"Not to mention that we are fully booked with gigs up until the end of February."

"I knew you guys would manage to get this far. You're slowly climbing up the success ladder, but you'll get there eventually." Gosh, I sounded an awful lot like Leslie just then.

"We just need to keep doing our best, right?"

"That's right."

"You keep reminding me, baby." Markus returns to his game of COD Black Ops III on his PS4, quickly managing a headshot on a zombie.

I struggle to keep up with him in this game, but I never give up. It's a way of us bonding, how could I give up on that chance?

"I just want the--."

Markus interrupts, "The best for us, I know. We really appreciate it, especially me."

Funny how he says this at the exact moment he's reviving me in the game. "I can tell. Thank you, babe."

"Not a problem." He winks at me. "We're up to round five already. You're doing good, Ki."

"I learn with the best."

"Don't forget to tell Josh that. He still thinks that I'm not that good at this game."

I chuckle, "I'll put in a good word for you."

"So, to which shop should we go first?" Bianca asks both Leslie and I.

"How about Primark?" I enthuse.

"No," Bianca scowls at me. "We're not going cheap today."

"How about M&S?" Leslie suggests.

Bianca rubs her temples. "You two would be doomed without me. Right, we're going to New Look first, then we'll work our way around the mall to all the more decent shops."
