Taking a sip of my almond milk, I hear my phone buzz. Probably Jess flooding me with memes again, I think, brushing it off and turning my focus back to work.

But the buzzing doesn't stop. Every five minutes for the past fifteen, it goes off again, demanding my attention.

Frustrated, I grab my phone and glance at the screen. My brows furrow. It's not Jess—it's an unknown number.

Jade: Open it and see who it is.

And as always, my hands move on their own, betraying my hesitation. Before I can stop myself, I've opened the messages.

Unknown number: A naughty thought a day keeps the stress away 😉.

Confused, I glance at the caller ID, convinced it must be a prank from one of my classmates. But as I check the number against our class group chat, my heart sinks—it doesn't match anyone.

Curious yet uneasy, I scroll through the other messages from the unknown sender. My stomach churns as I read them. Each one is horny, dripping with desperation text.

My first thought is disbelief—was this some guy texting his girlfriend and accidentally sending it to me?

I feel a chill creep up my spine as I stare at the screen. Who the hell was this?

Unknown number: You make me smile.
and also super horny, but that's not the point ;).

Unknown number:My tongue gonna be your alarm in the morning.

Unknown number: I miss your boobs:(

Sending a quick message to the unknown number—*"You've got the wrong person"—*I toss my phone onto the bed, annoyed and a little unsettled.

As I stand, an odd sensation washes over me, like someone's watching me. Shaking my head, I try to brush it off.

Maybe I should finally start taking the pills Dr. Moon prescribed. Maybe they'll work this time, silencing these thoughts and overactive imagination.

Determined to focus, I pull out my chair and open my laptop, ready to dive into my assignment. But before I can type a single word, the sound of dishes crashing echoes from the small dorm kitchen.

I flinch, my body tense. The noise sends a shiver through me, feeding my growing paranoia. I glance toward the door, heart pounding. Was someone out there, or was this just another trick of my mind?

It must be an animal, I tell myself, trying to stay calm. Maybe a cat or a rat.

Hopefully.

Fear grips me, and all I want is to avoid whatever caused that noise. I take a shaky step toward the main door, desperate to leave, to escape this suffocating unease. But my body has other plans.

Against my will, my feet pivot, dragging me toward the kitchen. Not me—him. Jade.

No, no, no, please, Jade, don't! I plead internally, my mind screaming for control.

But his response is as cruel as ever—his low, sinister chuckle reverberates in my head.

JADE:listen to me y/n!

he murmurs, and my body continues forward, powerless under his command.

A small gasp escapes my lips as my feet betray me, dragging me into the kitchen against my will.

As I step inside, an unnatural wave of heat hits me, the air stifling, far hotter than it should be. The lights are off, plunging the room into an eerie, suffocating darkness.
