As I started to wake up I could hear mechanical buzzing in the background. My ear hurts really bad. I reached for my ear and it felt really strange. I don't think my ear will ever look normal again. I opened my eyes to observe my surroundings and the room was just like the other room I had been in. One simple dim light bulb that made the bleach white room look slightly yellowed. There was no furniture but I did have a pillow and a thin blanket.

I stood up and felt a little dizzy. Apparently part of the dizziness problem last time was the drug they gave me.

I jumped when the door opened, but I felt some relief when it was just Timothy coming in. He had a plate of food in his hand.

"Hello, how are you feeling? Is your ear all right?"

"Thanks for the concern. It hurts but it's all right." I gratefully grabbed the plate. I am starving!

"The boss wants to talk to you in an hour. Finish eating quickly and I will take you there. I will try to free you right after that."

"Thanks. Just be careful. I don't want you to be caught because of recklessness."

"I'll be careful. I do want the escape to succeed. Hurry up and eat!"

When I had finished eating he pulled out handcuffs.

"You're handcuffing me?"

"I have to obey my orders. I will let you out of them when I'm ready to set you free."

"Thanks."

The rest of the walk to the boss's office was very quiet. Timothy walked in and I followed.

"Thank you Johnny. I would like you to stick around to hear our verdict for her. I also want you to see what happens when someone tries to escape us."

I almost forgot that they call him Johnny here. I wonder what they are trying to do.

"So, Rachel Shore I think it was." He paused and looked at me expecting a response. I didn't even acknowledge his sentence. "You have been a pain since day one. I don't know how you escaped last time." He paused leaning forward. He lowered his voice and looked me dead in the eye. "It won't work a second time."

He settled back in his chair.

"I remember my question from last time. Who all did you tell about us. Don't pull the only Richland lie again."

"I already told you." I had to suppress a laugh. This will irritate him. "Only Richland."

"We'll just have to coax it out of you. Bring her to interrogation."

I looked at Timothy and I could tell he was scared. That's not a good sign. He grabbed my arm and started walking.

"If I unlock your cuffs can you get out of here?" He whispered.

"No. You would be caught. We aren't going to do that."

"Sometimes interrogation gets pretty rough. People have died."

I looked at him in shock. His eyes were wet. He is really scared for me.

"I'll pretend to break down and start giving them information that won't help. That way they will think I have told them everything when I haven't. That will buy me some time. Free me after the interrogation."

"Ok. Just be very careful."

"Always!"

Timothy led me to a room that was practically empty. It was really large and it had a single chair with straps in the middle. One of the guards took me and told Timothy to leave. A few minutes later the boss walked in.
