Emily's POV
★
I find myself f trapped in a dark, labyrinthine maze, the walls closing in around me. No matter which way I turned, all I could see was the endless, winding path ahead of me.The further I went, the more disoriented I became, losing all sense of direction. I could hear a sinister voice whispering my name, beckoning me deeper into the maze, but I could never quite tell where it was coming from.
I felt as if I was being watched, a sinister presence lurking in the shadows, stalking my every step...
A sinister figure beckoned me from the shadows, it's voice whispering my name, "Emily..."
I startled awake in my bed, my heart racing and my body drenched in sweat. It took me a moment to realize that it was all just a nightmare, but the sense of terror and helplessness remains.
I looked around the empty room, my mind still swirling with images of the maze and the sinister voice,I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something in the nightmare seems eerily familiar...
As the reality of the situation sinks in, I started to cry quietly, the tears streaming down my face.
The sense of helplessness and fear that had gripped my body during the nightmare seems to linger, the vivid images from the dream still replaying in my mind.
I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to soothe my own trembling body as I sobbed. I felt lost and alone in the silent room, unsure of what to do or how to escape the overwhelming emotions coursing through me.
I let the tears flow down my face, allowing myself to cry for a few moments. The tears brought a strange sense of release, as if I was purging the fear and anxiety that the nightmare had instilled in me.
But soon, the tears start to subside and I find myself just staring into the wall before me, the last few tears drying on my cheeks.
I sat there, quietly, trying to collect my thoughts and regain my composure. It took some time, but eventually I started to feel a bit calmer, though the fear and unease still linger in the back of my mind.
After taking a moment to compose myself, I decided to take a shower. I grabbed a towel and a change of clothes from the closet before making her way to the bathroom.
As the warm water cascaded over my body, I felt a sense of relief as the remnants of the nightmare start to fade away. The water washes over me like a cleansing embrace, soothing my frayed nerves and easing my lingering anxiety.
When I finished my shower, I felt more refreshed and relaxed. The nightmare was now just a fading memory, and I felt hopeful that the rest of my day would be more pleasant.
I dried herself off, then gets changed into a fresh set of clothes. With a renewed sense of purpose, I set out to face the new day, determined to put the nightmare behind me.
I was drying off my hair when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find Adeline standing on the other side, holding a tray with a plate of breakfast food on it.
"Good morning, dear," Adeline says gently, offering me a warm smile.
"I brought you some breakfast.""Thank you," I said, taking the tray from her. The smell of freshly cooked food making my stomach rumble, and I'm suddenly aware of how hungry I am.
I sit down on the bed and sets the tray on my lap, looking down at the food with excitement. Adeline watches from the doorway, her eyes watchful but kind.
