Chapter 15 - The Best Competitor

   The O.M.C. ended. It never went as I expected... Turns out Emma got the time to regain the conscience and actually find the exit. David crossed the line, just like I was expecting. On that day, I didn't see Caroline again... She went back through another bus. I don't know if she was mad at me because I didn't win, just like I promised... Or if she was feeling bad again and wanted to go home so bad... It's funny how I thought I was going to win 'cause I am the protagonist of this diary... But I forget some people have Diaries too! This is just one of a million ones...
  
   Almost a week has passed since that day... I felt like Caroline had been avoiding me... Does she still consider me her friend? She missed the Psychologist that Friday... I guess that, one time that David won the competition, he also won the entrance to the Redeemers... The results aren't out yet, but I am pretty sure that he won. He was in 4th place in terms of points. In 3rd place was Caroline, the one that was left behind...
   - It's a shame I couldn't find the exit in time! You know what I mean... - Said Priya, the one in 2nd place.
   And me, the 1st person who fell in a race...

   The Redeemers decided to start a meeting to discuss some things that week.
   - Well, I created this meeting to discuss some terms we shouldn't just ignore... - Said Lion.

   - Go ahead! - He ordered.

   And there I was, thinking about Caroline... I can't imagine the pain she had by seeing his sister getting spaked to death. How awful... Sometimes I feel her sister calling me, even though I never met her.
   - Oliver... Oliver! - Said the Psychologist.
   - Oh! I'm sorry, Ms. Donna! - I apologized.
   - Lost in your thoughts again... What are you thinking about? - She asked.
   - I promised her not to tell anyone! - I exclaimed.
   - Her? Are you talking about Caroline?
   - What? How did you know?...
   - My daughter Constance told me you were together most of the time in the competition... But this week you never spoke with her... - She said. - But what about you? Is everything okay with you?
   - I am okay... I stopped having those strange dreams. - I lied.
   - That's a good sign! Maybe I'll dispense you from time to time... - She said. - But I am here if you need anything...
   As soon as she said that, I stood up and left her study, waving goodbye at her.
   - See you in two weeks! - She said.

   The meeting continued, even though the topic hasn't changed.
   - So, Fox, do you think Dog has what it takes to be a Redeemer? - Asked Lion.
