I walk down the hallway that leads to the kitchen, rubbing my neck as I do so because it absolutely kills. After I woke up earlier this morning I decided to go and watch a movie in the living room, I must of drifted asleep without knowing it and woke nearly an hour later from another unsettling dream and my neck was killing, I wonder if there is ay heat rub in this house?

As I near closer to the kitchen I begin to hear people chatting and I figure out that both of the voices belong to my parents. Soon I reach the kitchen and I see my parents sitting at the table next to each other and Sam at the top of the table with earphones on looking as though he has just woken up, spooning his cereal into his mouth almost mechanically. I look to the kitchen an expect to see Anne cooking, but I don't. Where is she? I walk to the fridge and look for something small to eat but nothing catches my eye, after looking in the cupboards also I give up and decide to just have a cup of coffee. I grab a cup out of one of the overhead compartments and fill my cup three quarters of the way with the already made pot of coffee that was placed on he stove. After that I put some cream in it and stir it with a teaspoon.

I walk over to the table where my family sit, my parents seeming to be deep in conversation, my father wearing glasses as he looks over some paperwork mum shows him. I pull out the seat on the right to Sam, sitting on it and putting my sock glad feet up on the table. I see my mother look at me from the corner of her eye knowing she wants to say something about my feet on the Table but she doesn't and turns back to what she was discussing with dad and I just take a long sip of my hot coffee. I look over to Sam, my chin sort of resting on my shoulder as I do so. I keep on staring at him, waiting for him to acknowledge me but nothing, nada. I get annoyed and end up flicking him in the head and lets just say that got his attention. He looks up at me and quite aggressively pulls out his headphones.

"What?" He says looking at me, no effort heard in his voice.

"Nothing, just didn't like you ignoring me." I say shrugging my shoulders and turning my head back around. But after a few second I remember something and turn back to look at him. "Hey, where's Anne?"

"Dad and Mum let her have the week off." He says as types something on his phone "Where'd you get to last night?" He puts his phone down now and looks at me.

"Huh?" I ask playing dumb.

"Where'd you leave to, I didn't see you at all last night." He says as his spoon hits the bowl.

"Wow, I'm surprised you actually noticed I was gone. I thought you were to love struck by that girl, what's her name, Katrina?" I say, eyebrow raised.

"Don't try and change the subject." He says, seeming annoyed by me like he always does. " And her name isn't Katrina, it's Jasmine."

"Eh, same shit, different smell."

"That doesn't even make any sense." He says looking confused.

"Sorry that your smart brain can't process by dumb comment" I say sarcastically standing up and putting my cup in the sink. I got bored of my conversation with Sam, come to think of it I get bored really easily. I walk over to the exit but just as I'm an out to leave my father calls my name.

"Darling, can I please speak with you, now." He says nicely but some how the words have such an authority, well that's what you get when you an owner of a big ass company. I stop still, deciding if I should speak with him or just walk away. I decide against the second option and just go with the first. I walk towards him slowly, and as I do so my mother stands up and walks out of the kitchen. I stand across from where he is, placing my hands on the chair in front of me and rocking back and forth on the balls of my feet waiting for him to say something.
