I walk into the kitchen and Anne is cleaning something in the sink and Sam is nowhere to be seen, knowing him he is probable still asleep, his never really been a morning person. I take a seat at the counter where a plate of pancakes has been placed with syrup, strawberry and icing sugar on top of them and a knife and fork beside them.

I take my first bite and it literally is the best pancake I have ever tasted, and I've had a lot.

"This is delicious." I say covering my mouth because my mouth is full.

"Thankyou darl, it's one of my new recipes."

"Well it's amazing" I say putting another mouthful of pancake in my mouth. I feel like every breakfast is going to go like this, the food is going to be amazing and I'll just praise Anne all the time for her great culinary skills, I should make it a tradition.

"Good morning" I look over to Sam walking into the kitchen, he sounds like he just woke up because his voice is all groggy.

"Morning" I say back. Sam takes a seat next to me and minutes later Anne places some pancakes in front of him.

''You look tired" Sam says looking over at me.

"What?"

"Well your face looks really drained and you have bags under your eyes." He says simply, well that's a great way to get a girls self esteem up, bonus points for you Sam.

"I didn't get much sleep last night." I say rubbing my eyes.

"Are you finding it hard to sleep, again?" I just nod my head in responce. I've been able to sleep during the night in the last month but last night I kept on having nightmares about that night, I tried to get it out of my mind and fall back to sleep but it kept on coming back. Sam's the only one who knows about it, I haven't told mum or dad anything about it well they do but they think that I've gotten over them, I don't want to bother them with it seeing as they are so busy with work.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I shake my head no and I hope he doesn't decide to push and keep pestering me about it like he would usually do.

"Ok, so where were you yesterday?"

"I went to the beach."

"Who with?"

"Shai, she lives next door."

"Was it fun?" he asks taking a mouthfull of his pancakes.

"Suprisingly yes" come to think of it, it was actually the funnest time I have had in a while "her friends were really nice."

"Cool."He says and starts eating his pancakes and I just go on my phone and pass time while playing a game.

"Hey" I say remembering something. "Remember that deal we made" I say excitedly and he nods "well" I wait for him to get the hint.

"Well, what?"

"Well you" I point my finger at him "my lovely, adorable, in-."

"Get on with it" he cuts me off, clearly annoyed that I'm taking my time.

"As I was saying my intelligent, sweet brother you lost a bet and now you have to get a tattoo." I say poking him in the chest.

"I thought it was a joke" he says and I know his trying to get out of it.

"Nope, I was being genuine and you are not getting out of it" if he argues with me I will not back down until he complies.

"Alright, but if mum and dad get pissed it's your fault."

"Ok, I can agree to that."

"You promise."

"Promise" I say reassuring him. "It's not like they're going to cut your head off for getting a tattoo, I've got a couple and they did nothing." I say.
