The car ride is pretty quiet except for the radio playing quietly and Harry humming to the song. We've been in the car for over twenty minutes and the time is now five in the afternoon. I still feel slightly dizzy but not as bad as before like I'm going to faint.
"How long until we are there." I look over to him.
"Not long, maybe a few minutes." he says keeping his eyes on the road.
We stay quiet for the rest of the drive but it's not an akward silence. Soon we pull into a carpark and Harry and I hop out of the car, we walk to a diner and the place is half full, a waitress leads us to a booth at the back and I sit across from Harry and the waitress leaves us with two menus to look at.
"What do you want it's my shout" Harry says putting his menu down.
"It's alright you don't have to pay for me."
"I insist, and no arguing with me on this" I sigh knowing I don't have the energy to argue with a person I just meet today.
Seconds later the waitress comes and takes our orders, Harry orders a burger and I get the same as him, he says they are the best burger you'll ever have.
"So, where are you from?" I ask the question that's been playing on my mind ever since I heard his accent.
"As in here in L.A. or where I come from."
"Where you come from."
" I come from this small town called Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. It's about a three hour drive from London."
"Why'd you move?"
"Just wanted a bit of a change." he shrugs.
"Oh."
"So how do you like it here so far."
"Well seeing that I've only been here for less than forty-eight hours, I guess you could say it's not that bad"
"True" he says with a smile.
The waitress that took our order comes back and puts our food infront of us and the burgers are bloody huge, lucky I'm hungry - which is a first - or else I don't think I could finish it. I grab the burger with both my hands and take my first bite of it and Harry's right, they are amazing.
"This is delicious" I say taking another bite.
"What did I tell you." He says but his voice is muffled probable because it's full of food.
We continue eating in silence except for me saying how great the burger is, I'm not really a fan of food but this is amazing and if I like something I have to finish it, it's like if I miss out on one bite I might be missing a whole other experience. I finish my food with a record time and look up to Harry and he's already finished.
"How'd you finish so quick." I say with disbelief evident in my voice, I ate so fast.
"I didn't, you're a slow eater."
"Hey, that's the fastest I've ever eaten." I usually don't eat fast, and I normally don't eat much food either. Sure when I look at food my mouth waters, but as soon as I take one bite my appetite is gone. This is probable the first time in a long time that I've finished a meal.
"You must eat like an old grandma."
"Haha very funny" I swat his shoulder and he laughs but he doesn't stop he keeps on laughing.
"It wasn't that funny." I mutter but loud enough for him to hear me.
"I'm not laughing at that I'm laughing at you."
