Heeseung's eyes flutter open, his heart stopping the moment he notices the heavy weight clinging to his body.
Carefully turning his head, he's met with Sunghoon's gorgeous face, sleeping peacefully.
His long lashes cast soft shadows on his cheeks and his lips are slightly parted.
His chest rises and falls steadily, his hair slightly messy from sleep, but it only adds to his charm.
Heeseung feels a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he takes in the sight before him.
The morning sunlight shines through the curtains, filling the room in a soft, golden glow.
Heeseung's breath catches as he notices how the light kisses Sunghoon's features, accentuating his sharp jawline and the faint pink tint in his lips.
He quickly averts his gaze, his cheeks flushing pink at the thought of Sunghoon waking and meeting his eyes.
He takes a steadying breath, trying to calm his racing heart, reminding himself that it will likely be a while before Sunghoon stirs.
But then he feels it—a slight movement of Sunghoon's hands, gently brushing against his sides.
"Good morning, baby," Sunghoon mumbles, his deep, groggy voice sending a shiver down Heeseung's spine.
Startled, Heeseung's heart skips a beat, thumping wildly in his chest.
He turns his head again to steal another glance.
Just as he suspected, Sunghoon's eyes remain closed, but a soft, content smile graces his lips.
His voice may have been low and raspy, but the tenderness in his tone is unmistakable.
The sight alone makes Heeseung blush even harder.
He quickly turns back around, his head spinning.
Sunghoon's handsome face and the way he is holding him are enough to make him feel lightheaded.
"Good morning," he finally whispers back, his voice barely audible, too nervous to speak any louder.
Sunghoon hums in response, his arms tightening around Heeseung as if refusing to let him go.
"How'd you sleep?" Sunghoon asks, his voice still heavy with sleep. His words are slightly muffled as he nuzzles his face into the crook of Heeseung's neck.
"F-fine," Heeseung stammers, his breath hitching at the feeling of Sunghoon's warm breath against his skin. "And you?"
"Perfect," he replies, his lips curving into a lazy smile against Heeseung's shoulder. "Waking up like this makes everything better."
Heeseung exhales shakily, the warmth of Sunghoon's body pressed up against his own making it nearly impossible to breathe properly.
He shifts slightly, attempting to sit up, but Sunghoon's arms tighten their hold.
"Don't leave me," Sunghoon murmurs softly, his breath brushing against Heeseung's ear. "I like how you feel on me. Just like this."
Heeseung swallows hard, his face burning, unsure of how to respond.
He decides silence is safest and stays still.
Sunghoon gives Heeseung's hip a gentle squeeze—twice.
"You're so warm," Sunghoon adds, his voice laced with contentment. "It's like I'm hugging a human heater."
The gesture and Sunghoon's casual words send Heeseung's nerves spiraling.
