Jhanvi's POV

"Why are you sitting this close to me?" I grumbled. The anxiety in his face disappeared to a rather huge grin.

"And the Elsa is back!!"

"Wow. I can't stop blushing at your nickname." I added dramatically trying to hide my face behind my palms.

"Okay fine. Jokes aside.... Are you fine with Rahul being back here?" He asked softly.

Why do I care about the spinless eel!?

"I don't really care about him. It's been five years. I have moved on and I don't care." I said firmly.

"Right....." He replied sarcastically. Before I could counter his implication, the door banged open. Amruta was on the other side, looking at us with a cheeky grin.

"Oh ohhh!!"

"Shut up!" I admonished her.

"Mom called you both for Lunch.... But yahaan toh, you guys jumped to dessert huh?"

"God. I suddenly lost my appetite for everything and starving to death seems a better option right now." I added with frustration. Aaryan chuckled beside me.

"Rude." Amruta pouted. Aaryan helped me to get on my feet while standing beside me.

"Do I need to know, what happened here?"

"Oh yes! We were about to have wild raunchy sex across the wall. He was just about strip me and pin me...-"

"Okay okay!! I'm sorry for asking." Amruta interrupted while running down stairs, wanting to cleanse her ears with bleach or Acid, or Both.

"Wild raunchy sex huh?" He asked cheekily.

"Why are you blushing like a virgin?" I snapped.

"Coz I am, Woman!" He said, exasperated

"Oh."

"Why is it a huge surprise?"

"No... Not really!" I added. We stood awkwardly for another one minute.

"Now are you gonna scoot away and stop looking at me with your Bambi eyes?" I asked irritably. He nodded and decided to walk away. I tried very hard to ignore the fact that he held the trinket box and moved out, trying very hard not to make me notice. Surprisingly, I couldn't find voice to stop him or say anything. All she heard was,

"I'm gonna burn this with his corpse." Before he shut the door behind.

We went down after freshening up. Ammu has warned us that he-who-shall-not-be-named will be joining for lunch, on Ajay's insistence. Ajay was the groom. I changed to a simple pyjama set while Aaryan wore grey slacks with blue tshirt.

"Hot." I whispered softly.

"What?"

"The weather is hot."

"Okay?" He was confused but didn't dare to dig deeper. I saw my parents and a few of my nosy relatives already settled in their seats.

"God am not ready for this." I whined.

"Well... As your boyfriend, we will handle it together." He whispered as he lead us to the dining area. I settled opposite my parents and Aaryan sat beside.

Fried rice?! Are you freaking serious.

"I loovvveeee thiisssss!!" Amruta moaned as the aroma of the wretched fried rice wafted across the room. Ajay chuckled while he scooped some into his plate.

"Judging by your reaction, I think you hate this." Aaryan whispered.

"No shit Sherlock! This has peas, and lot of it." I grumbled plotting ways to make peas disappear from casserole.
