Jhanvi's POV
"Okay.... That's all right? We can handle it."
"We?" The word sent shivers down the spine. It felt alien but strangely warm. Aaryan took off while I stood behind gaping like a fish.
"You coming?"
"Haan yes." I replied in daze. I followed him out and saw him dialing someone.
"What are we gonna do?" I whispered anxiously. I didn't wanna fail the duty and it felt absolutely horrible to forget the most important thing.
"So..... I know a guy, who happen to know another guy from...-"
"I don't need the history." I interrupted. He harrumphed and dialled someone. I stomp my foot anxiously. The suspense could kill me. He came back to me, few minutes later with a triumphant smile.
"Stop smiling and tell me what happened?"
"Mission success and thank god all luck is in your favour today." He grinned.
"So?"
"Thankfully he happened to have Daisies. Lot of them. He also agreed to decorate the stage, given the short duration. He'll be here in 10 minutes. Our job is done." He grinned and walked inside leaving me flabbergasted. What just happened?
We went inside and stood by the door side awkwardly. Aaryan was greeting everyone enthusiasticly while I barley survived the meet and greet. I mostly avoided conversations with everyone till the truck pulled down, outside.
"He is finally here!!" Aaryan cheered enthusiasticly and leaped out to meet his friend. His "friend" looked older with grey hair and thick spectacles. Grinning and wishing, they walked inside, completely forgetting my existence. The uncle was accompanied with few more young ones who worked enthusiasticly on the stage.
"How did you know them?"
"His name is Freddie. One of my most favourite person in the entire England. I helped him with some errands and we became friends. I help him out and he helps me sometimes." He explained. I shook my head, but didn't reply.
"All about Contacts. Networking I say." He added cheekily. I rolled my eyes but couldn't control the smirk which escaped my lips. The stage decoration proceeded in a rather lightning pace.
"Swift workers." I commented.
"Passionate." I didn't disagree.
"How much should we pay?" I questioned.. I'm sure this entire thing might cost a fortune. But the decoration was coming out, so well. Chic and Grand. Amruta will absolutely love this.
"Why fear when Aaryan is here?"
"Excuse me?"
"You're excused Elsa!" He added cheekily making me growl in frustration. I really wasn't in the mood of jokes right now.
"Stop it. Tell me what's the final bill. I'll settle it. It's not like am broke or something." I added with a grumble.
"It's free."
"And the Earth is Flat." I snapped.
"Earth is definitely not Flat.... But this is free though." He added cheekily. I stared at him in surprise. There was no way, this entire decoration was free. The stage work was over. People cleaned the stage and walked out with Aaryan. I was following his trail. Hiding behind I pillar I saw the elder one and Aaryan share a brief fatherly hug. He winked and walked to me.
"See... Your contract is only to be my boyfriend. This is something which wasn't there in your contract. So please tell me how much should I pay! Please." I almost pleaded in a tone which was alien to me.
