AARYAN'S POV
I couldn't help but lean a bit closer so that our bodies are practically one on each other. She looked at me right now. Her pupils glazed and she looked flushed.
"Aaryan, I-"
The door banged open snapping us both from the reverie. The kitten who was cozying in her lap, turned and snapped at the uninvited intruder for disturbing his sleep.
"Rahul?" She gasped and stood up in shock and I couldn't help but cuss his entire bloodline for existing. The bastard ran to her with a soft smile.
"Ahem." I cleared my throat and stood beside her, glaring at the clown. Oh don't blame me for not liking him. He has a very unlikable personality indeed.
"I thought you would be alone..." He murmured. Jhanvi stared at him stoically.
Come on Woman! Slap him and push him outside.
"Why would I even be alone?"
"I don't know yaar... I heard your family went shopping and I thought we could spend some time together. It's been years since we spoke Jaanuuu...." He added and I felt like puking. Jhanvi seemed equally frustrated with this conversation. The kitten climbed on her shoulder and purred softly in her ears.
"Rahul. I have no interest in indulging with you. Also, unlike you... I tend to be faithful to my relationship." She snapped. I couldn't be happier.
"I'm not tryna make a move on you Jaanu!" He defended.
"Can you please stop calling me Jaanu? It's icky. I feel like caterpillars crawling under my skin." She snapped back
Miooooo
The kitten who was resting on her neck, purred at him in annoyance. Though he was trying to intimidate him, the squeaky voice couldn't back his plans. He's just a baby.
"There is absolutely no need to reconnect with my girlfriend especially when you cheated on her in the past. There is no way I'm letting you near her." I growled, glaring at him.
"I can defend myself." She whispered. I shook my head and glared at her. It's okay to let others take charge for you. It's okay to step down once in a while and let others help you out.
"Okay fine! Can I at least get a cup of coffee. It's raining outside and I can't leave now." Rahul whined. We both shared a look. I nodded and walked to the kitchen dragging Jhanvi with me. We both in awkward silence as I started the coffee.
"I'm sorry but I hate him."
"I hate him too." She murmured as she sat on the counter with the kitten on her lap.
"You gonna name him?"
"Or her?" She added.
"Gut says it's a boy." I replied stirring the milk. She jumped down from the catch and went through the shelves searching for something I had no idea about.
"Yes. Finally!" She showed a jar of salt. I was flabbergasted. Using my distraction, she scooped two full spoons of salt and added in the milk. I couldn't help but grin wickedly.
"God you are amazing." I said happily. She rolled her eyes.
"Oh yea..thank you. Been waiting for this forever." She addded with a hint of drama. I chuckled and forwarded the cup to Rahul.
One moment he was staring lecherously at Jhanvi, the other moment he spluttered on his coffee choking on his life. With tears dripping down his cheeks and his shirt entirely stained with coffee, he decided to run for his life.
