A Glimpse of Danger

After a while, Shinobu and two other girls came inside in the evening. The girls introduced themselves as Kanao and Aoi. Kanao wore a white cape, and her hair was tied up in a ponytail at the side of her head. She also wore white boots.

After we finished our meal, Kanao cleaned the table. Then, we were led to a large room, where they announced that a test would be conducted to assess our fighting skills, flexibility, and reflexes.

A girl who was waiting for us in the room looked a bit like Aoi pointed right where the three little girls were and they would try our flexibility. I went first and my whole body felt beaten up after it was done. Nico went in but his skeletons scared the girls away, he didn't like anyone touching him. They could not do anything about that so we went on the next one.

It was kept in the middle of the room and Kanao was sitting. Tanjiro came and showed us how it was done. There was a table and glasses filled with some kind of smelly liquid. We had to stop the other person from taking a glass and we had to throw it on then.

 As the glasses were filled with liquid, I was confident about it. Kanao was fast but just as she was about to throw it, I removed all the toxin from every glass except one and kept the glass on her head. That is what Tanjiro did. The girl said that we had to throw the toxin on them but I felt like being nice at that moment.

Nico used his Shadow traveling but a small hole came and the water went in the hole and came from Kanao's back. She dodged it but just as she did, Nico took one of the glasses and poured it on her. 

I was amazed that he could open a hole as Nico has been having trouble with Shadow Travelling since we arrived here. But he looked in bad shape. I told him to rest but he was determined to complete the last one.

The girl said, "Last is full-body training or in simple terms playing tag. Aoi and my assistant Kanao will be your opponent."

It was my turn first and my opponent was Aoi. She was strong but I sensed water somewhere. I showed them a bit of my power. I took all the water to make a big circle and put her inside. I made sure that the water did not let Aoi move and tagged her. I won

Nico's opponent was Kanao. Just as they were about to start I knew what Nico was going to do and said, "Kanao, can we do this fight outside."

They did not hesitate and we went outside. The fight began and Nico pulled up an army of the dead. Kanao was fast and kept cutting them but the skeletons kept coming to life again and again. The fight was intense, I did not understand what happened but Nico won.

After that, we were told that we would be getting a mission in which we'd have to kill a strong demon. Just then Shinobu came and said, "I hope you are ready to prove yourselves. There is a demon that you will have to kill soon." 

She showed us two swords and continued"You can pick one of these swords. You will have to cut demon necks with this. They can regenerate themselves so anything else cannot kill them except the sun. The demons will only come out at night."

We picked our swords and she continued, "The demons who cannot speak are low-ranked demons. There are strong demons which we call Upper moon Demons. The strongest one is Upper Moon 1 and so on. The lowest in these is Uppermoon 12. Every Upper Moon has a special power which is called Demon Blood Art."

She turns around and a guy comes. I think he is a Hshira. She says, "Well your first mission is up. You'll leave tomorrow"
