Shadowy Maneuvers

We were going to the mission with Tanjiro. There had been some sightings of demons in a mountain and that seemed like a small task. I feel like we are way stronger than that and could kill an upper demon, but they said that every mission is important.

We got ready. I took a water bottle just in case I  couldn't find a water source. Nico and I went outside and saw Tanjiro. I asked, "Will you be going with us?"

He replied, "Yes, Zenitsu is not going to come as he has been assigned to another mission. Inosuke will be here with us in a moment. I look forward to working with you."

I smiled and Inosuke came with Shinobu. Shinobu wished us a safe journey and we took off. Tanjiro took the lead. We went through a forest. It got afternoon. Tanjiro suddenly stopped and said, "Night is coming fast. We will have to run and get to the mountain as fast as we can."

We both nodded and started running. Inosuke then said, "What does 'Have a safe journey' mean? "

Tanjiro replied, "It is to fully comprehend our own position, to do the right thing. Something like that. Besides, Shinobu took the time to come here and wish us a safe journey.

Inosuke then asked, "What kind of position is that? What does clear conscience mean?"

Then I asked, "Then what does doing the right thing mean?"

Then Inosuke said, "Why did Shinobu have to waste her time and wish us a safe Journey? She is not even my relative, why did she have to do that? She didn't comprehend her position for us, did she?"

Tanjiro then started running faster and seeing that Inosuke said, "He is getting faster, I am not going to lose!" 

We started running faster as well and this was kind of fun. It got pretty fast and we reached the mountain by night. The mountain was big and looked spooky like a large haunted house.

I said, "Why don't we take a break? We have been running for a long time."

Tanjiro agreed and we sat. Just then his face got pale and he looked at the mountain. I asked what happened and he replied, "Blood. I can smell blood coming out of there."

We all looked at the mountain with a bit of horror. We stood up and ran towards the mountain. At the entrance, we saw a person lying on the floor. He looked at us with absolute terror in his eyes and tears began coming out. He could only say, "HELP..."

Tanjiro said, "He is wearing a Corps uniform so he must be a Demon Slayer. Something must have happened"

We ran over to him and Tanjiro asked, "Are you alright? What happened?"

Then he was flown in the air and the mountains.  He said, "They are taking me too! HeLP mE."

WE ALL LOOKED AT THE PLACE HE WENT IN. We all were shocked.

Tanjiro started to tremble and said, "I have to save him"

Inosuke then said, "Let me go first. You may follow my lead and tremble. I'm starving"

Tanjiro looked at him and said, "Inosuke"

I thought, "He must be strong, he can't wait to get in action." I must have not realized but I wonder why Tanjiro carries a big basket behind him at all times whenever he is outside.

And then Tanjiro and Inosuke started running into the dark mountain. We didn't have a choice but to follow them. This looked dangerous. I thought it was going to be easy. Hopefully, a water source is present there. If there is water, it won't be much of a problem. The mission begins.
