The next morning, sunlight fell on my face, waking me from my sleep. I opened my eyes to see her sleeping peacefully, her head resting on my chest. A smile crept onto my face as I gently caressed her hair. Moving closer, I placed a soft kiss on her forehead and, feeling content, closed my eyes to drift back to sleep.

Hira's - pov

I woke up as sunlight hit my face. Looking around, I realized this wasn't my room. Then it hit me-I was married. Turning my head, I saw him, his arm wrapped protectively around my waist, his messy hair making him look even cuter. A small chuckle escaped my lips as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Glancing at the clock, my eyes widened. It was my first day in my in-laws' house, and I couldn't afford to be late. Gently, I tried to remove his hold on me but failed. After a few more attempts, I finally freed myself. Getting up, I noticed I was wearing his shirt. A smile lit up my face as I headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

I came out of the bathroom wearing a red saree. Standing at the dressing table, I picked up the hairdryer and started drying my hair when I heard his sleepy voice.

"Sweetheart?"

I turned to see him sitting up in bed, blinking groggily. Smiling, I walked toward him.

"Yes?"

He chuckled softly and I said, "Go freshen up; we'll head down soon."

I was about to step back when he grabbed my hand, pulling me onto him. My hands landed on his chest as I looked at him, surprised.

"What?" I asked.

"You look beautiful, jaan," he murmured, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

I smiled, getting up from the bed. As I continued drying my hair, he got up and went to the bathroom, pausing only to plant a quick kiss on my cheek.

After some time, we both got ready. I paired my red saree with a small gold necklace and matching earrings, while, He wore a crisp white shirt paired with tailored trousers, giving him a sharp and elegant look.
