Hira's pov

It has been a week since our reception. Amer Bhai and his family arrived three days ago, and guess what? Mira and Amer Bhai are getting engaged! All the engagement preparations have already started because our dear Mira madam wants everything to be perfect.

This morning, I was standing in front of the mirror, getting ready for the office when I suddenly felt two strong arms wrap around my waist. A soft smile played on my lips as I immediately recognized the touch. He rested his chin on my shoulder, his warm breath tickling my skin.

"Someone's being romantic early in the morning?" I teased.

"I'm always romantic, sweetheart. You're the one who never gives me any attention," he said, feigning offense.

"Aww, my baby!" I teased again, chuckling.

He turned me around to face him, his grip on my waist tightening. I placed my hands on his chest, attempting to push him away, but he only held me closer.

"Sahil, I'm getting late for the office," I protested, trying to free myself.

"You're the boss, baby," he mocked playfully.

"Mera dialogue mujhe pe hi?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him. He simply nodded with a smirk.

"Now leave me! You have your office too, don't you?" I reminded him.

"I do," he replied nonchalantly.

"Then let me go!"

"Never," he whispered, his voice laced with mischief.

I blushed-hard.

"S-Sahil, I'm really getting late. Chhodo na," I stammered.

"I will... but only if I get something in return," he said with a smirk.

I looked at him in disbelief. "What do you want?"

"Just a kiss," he murmured, pulling me even closer until our faces were only inches apart.

"But-"

Before I could even complete my sentence, he leaned in and captured my lips in a passionate kiss. My heart pounded in my chest as I melted into his embrace.

After a while, we pulled back, breathing heavily. He rested his forehead against mine, his eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made me blush deeper.

He pulled back slightly, cupping my face gently before placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you more, jaan," he whispered back playfully, making me giggle.

After getting ready for the office, Sahil and I headed downstairs. As we reached the main hall, we saw Mira standing near the front door. We exchanged glances before walking toward her.

"What are you doing here, princess?" Sahil asked curiously.

"Uh... Bhai-" Mira began, but before she could complete her sentence, a familiar voice interrupted.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm late!" Amer Bhai entered hurriedly and stood beside Mira.

Sahil narrowed his eyes at him, clearly unimpressed.

"Aise kya dakh rahe ho, Saale Sahab? She's officially going to be mine now," Amer Bhai smirked, holding Mira's hand.

"Come on, jaan, let's go," he said, leading Mira away.
