Wanda looked up as footsteps approached her cell. She hadn't gotten any visitors since Laura Barton although she did get a phone call from Steve assuring her that he was working on helping her.
At least he hadn't abandoned her. He was stuck at the Compound though.
It was all Stark's fault.
Stark, Stark, STARK!
"Miss. Maximoff?"
She blinked out of her thoughts to find a man standing in front of her cell.
"What do you want?" she asked tiredly. Was he someone else here to blame her for everything wrong in their lives?
He gave her a sympathetic smile and she perked up at the expression.
"They really are treating you poorly my dear," he murmured. "This is no place for you."
"Stark put me here," she said, glaring at the floor.
"Yes. He has hurt you enough by now hasn't he?"
Wanda nodded miserably. See! There were others who understood what a monster Stark was!
"You don't belong here Wanda. You have a far greater destiny."
"I was going to rid the world of Stark. Everyone would be better off without him. But they didn't believe me."
He took a step closer. "I believe you Wanda."
She sniffled and stood up to hesitantly move closer to the bars. "You do?"
He nodded. "I understand. Tony Stark is dangerous. He needs to be stopped. But... I need your help my dear."
She rushed to the bars. "Anything! Anything to end that monster! To get revenge for me, my brother and my parents!"
He smiled and leaned closer to the bars, Wanda automatically leaning in as well.
"Hail Hydra," he whispered.
She stared up at him for a long moment.
It was to avenge her family.
It was to save the world from Stark.
It was the right thing.
She was an Avenger. She protected the world from villains like Stark.
She could use Hydra for this.
"Hail Hydra," she answered, the words falling easily from her lips even after a few years away from the organisation that gave her and Pietro their powers.
He smiled widely and unlocked the door to her cell.
"Come my dear, we have work to do."
He held out a hand to her. Wanda didn't hesitate to take it as she stepped through the door, ignoring the bodies of the guards strewn across the hallway.
