Chapter 14: A Rose And Her Thorn

(Two days later...)

Since Dark had locked Sonic back inside his mind, his thoughts were always filled with a certain pink hedgehog. Since he and Sonic were the same person, they'd each fallen in love with the same person, Dark Sonic would feel everything Sonic loved about Amy, Her spirit, her eyes, and her smile. Dark couldn't help but feel a small amount of guilt, He truly loved his rose but he knew she was going to be a thorn in his side.

He would watch from afar when the hedgehog was destroying Eggman's robots, Dark watched from a tree branch, He hadn't been able to find her outside since she, Tails, and a mysterious purple cat were dealing with Eggman. But he knew exactly she was planning something big to save Sonic, Dark Sonic gritted his teeth (Nobody will stop me, Not even my own Rose) Dark clenched his fist tightly.

"Okay, Amy you ready?," Tails asked, Amy grinned, reaching her arm out as her piko piko hammer appeared in her hand "We'll start with an easy Dark Sonic then we'll go a little harder," Amy nodded her head, as she watched Tails type away on his computer before a holographic version of Dark Sonic appeared, it gave her the chills seeing his lifeless expression compared to the always positive grin she'd usually see on Sonic face "Just step into the battle room, and we'll begin," Tails smiled, clicking away on his computer before an image of three hedgehog's popped up onto the fox's screen, they were all placed on the ground, hugging each other tightly. Amy recognized the blue hedgehog due to his smile. But the other two, were strangers to Amy.

"Hey Tails?," Amy said "Who's the green and magenta hedgehogs?," The pink hedgehog asked, watching Tails freeze up "Oh there uh...Friends of Sonic," Tails paused, "Good friends?," Tails slowly turned his chair around, dropping his head to the ground "I shouldn't be the one to tell you," Tails muttered, Amy crossed her arms "You can't tell me?," Amy said, Tails shook his head. Amy dropped her arms before sighing, walking toward the battle room's door as she gripped the handle "Start the program, intensify the program every time I beat Dark Sonic," Tails ears dropped, hearing the sternness from Amy's voice.

"I seriously don't know how you got him to play," Rouge groaned, watching Knuckles, Shadow, and Vector play go fish, "You guys are idiots...," Rouge muttered, pressing her face into her palms "We all bid something valuable to us, Shadow gave some of his coffee beans, I threw in an artifact," Knuckles paused, rolling his eyes "And Vector threw in Espio and Charmy," Vector laughed as Espio and Charmy stood closely behind Vector "If this is the last game we play before Sonic destroys us all," Vector grinned "I want it to be go fish," Vector examined his cards "You got a four Knuckles?," Knuckles shook his head "DAMNIT!," Vector yelled as a small smile appeared on Rouge's face.

"Even though, I don't get how you got Shadow or Knuckles to play go fish," Rouge grinned "I hope we all don't get destroyed by big blue," Knuckles and Vector both nodded their heads, Rouge turned toward Shadow "I want a rematch with that damn copycat before we save faker," Rouge smirked "And If you lose?," The albino bat asked, lifting her body slightly off the ground, Shadow crossed his arms "Then we'll see...," Shadow muttered quietly as Rouge let out a small laugh.

"Amy, maybe you should take a break?," Sliver's voice echoed through the area's speakers "No!, Just a few more minutes then I'll...," Amy paused, feeling her body slow down. She lifted her hand as pools of sweat fell down her face. She hadn't noticed the battle room door being opened as both Silver and Tails walked in "C'mon Amy you need to take a break," Silver softly smiled. Amy closed her eyes, feeling the exhaustion quickly hit her "F-Fine...Tails shut it down," Tails nodded, quickly running out of the room, Both Silver and Amy watched the Dark Sonic hologram pause its attack, before the two walked out of the room.
