Lloyd POV
It's been eight years (time flies, and now I'm old) since the 'merge'. After I lost Kai to the storm, I went looking for the other Ninja, but... they were nowhere to be found. I looked for weeks, before finally giving up. I also promised myself that I would stop with the self-harm, and eat properly. It was hard, and I still am not fully healthy, but I tried, I tried for Kai, Nya, Cole, Zane, Jay, Master Wu, and even for Arin.
Then, one day, as I was gardening (I am the GREEN Ninja, after all, and it gave me something to do besides training and meditating), the Destany's Bounty pulled up beside the Monastery. And out of it, jumped Kai. Kai, Kai, my Kai.
He set off after that to try and map the merged lands, and I had renewed energy, that I put into these mysterious dragon disappearances.
I wouldn't let my own kind be kidnapped... or even worse.
And that is how I found myself here, on a truck, fighting a guy who spoke in 3rd person.
"NO ONE CAN DEFEAT RAPTON!" he shouted, more Imperium (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called?) Soldiers.
"Ugh, why do bad guys always speak in 3rd person?" I asked, slashing two soldiers away from me with my golden katana. I suddenly see a hatch leading into the truck. That's where they must be keeping that baby dragon, Riyu! His mother told me of his disappearance, and of course, these guys had to be involved with it. I'm pretty sure they are the cause of all the disappearances.
I jump down the hatch, closing it behind me. I hear a gasp somewhere to my left. I activate my night vision (part dragon here, remember?) and see...
"Arin? What are you doing here?!" I exclaim. I'm looking at, an older, yet undeniably, chained-up next to a person with cat-eared headphones I didn't know.
"THE GREEN NINJA?!? Wait, how did you know my name?" he asked quizzically.
"Oh! Um... my friend told me." I reply.
"Okay, this is nice and all, but CAN WE GET OUTA HERE, PLEASE?" asked the cat-person. I nod, and break their chains with green energy. I hear whimpers coming from one of the other cars.
"Do you guys hear that?" I ask.
"Hear what?" they both replied. I shook my head. Must be my Oni hearing.
"Did you two happen to see a small, baby dragon by chance?" I ask them.
"Yeah! We, were, um, trying to save it before we got captured, so, um, yeah." stuttered Arin. They both stand up.
"I'm Sora, by the way." said the cat-girl, ahem, Sora. I held out my hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Lloyd!" I reply, and shake her hand. I turn around and kick open the door connecting us to the other car. Inside, I spot Riyu, whimpering in a cage made out of an orangey-tech thing. I feel rage bubble up through me, not my Oni side, but my Dragon. My eyes shine gold, and I aim to strike the cage.
"Um, I wouldn't do that if I were-" I cut of Sora, but cutting the cage clean in half.
"B-but... that shouldn't be possible!" she cried. I lift Riyu out of the cage. Then, more soldiers burst in, from all sides.
"I hope you know how to fight!" I exclaim.
