It was late at night and you were out with Luke. You were just walking around the neighbourhood, talking about anything and everything.

A chilly breeze made the hair on your arms stand up, which meant that it was getting a little cold.

Luke felt like that too, so you decided to get back home.

"Okay, let's get you back home." he said.

"Wait, I can walk alone." You said stopping him by pressing your hand on his shoulder.

"No, you're not, it's dark and cold, and strange people walk around at night. What if something happens to you?"

You smiled a little at the fact how much he cared about you. It was a nice feeling, someone caring about you.

"I'll be fine, Luke." you told him with a reassuring smile.

"No, I'm not leaving you alone. I'm walking you to your house." Luke said with a stern tone in his voice, making sure he got his point across.

"My house is like two blocks away, you don't have to." you motion your hand to point out in the direction of your home.

"Yes I do."

"No, you don't."

"Yes. I. do."

"No. You. Don't"

"Yes."

"No."

"No."

"Yes." You said without thinking as a smirk appeared on his face. After realising what you agreed on, you let out a groan, to which Luke chuckled.

"You can't do that. That's basically cheating."

Both of you started walking, side by side. You continued bickering about whether Luke cheated on that little contest you had before.

Bickering or not, Luke may or may not be one of the best companies in the world.

At one point, your hands brushed and you could swear you felt some sort of jolt of electricity.

Cliche, much?

You arrived at your house, the two of you standing on your doorstep.

"I had a great time, Luke." you shoot him a smile.

"Me too." he bit his lip.

"Well, goodnight."

"Goodnight." he nodded his head.

You turned around to go inside your house. As you were about to turn the knob on your front door, you heard Luke exclaim a "Wait!".

You turn around towards him with raised eyebrows.

"Call me when you get in your room. I need to make sure you'll be okay." he says wearing a serious expression on his face.

Was he kidding you? Luke was being ridiculous right now.

"Luke, I'm literally at home." you try to stifle a laugh.

"I mean it, (y/n)."

"Nothing will happen to me, stop being so paranoid." you sent  him a reassuring smile.

A moment of two passed and you took that as your cue to get inside.

"Come 'ere." You heard him whisper and pull you into his torso , before you even had the chance to turn around.

He wrapped his hands around your body, while you wrapped yours around his neck. You burrowed your head in his neck, breathing him in.

He smelled of worn out cologne with a bit of mint. He smelled like Luke.

The scent seemed to calm you and keep you at piece.

His head was leaning on your shoulder, so with every exhale he let out, goosebumps appeared all over your body.

You sighed and just enjoyed the feeling.

After a while, you released from the hug, shot him a smile and got inside.

If that's what it felt like to be in his arms, you didn't wanna ever be anywhere else, but there.
