From then on, their meeting became more frequent. They were always careful, always meeting in secret at the edge of the forest where neither the sheriff nor Robin's friends would find them.

Robin, who had always been so sure of himself found his confidence faltering when he was with John. It wasn't just the thrill of sneaking around - it was the way John listened when Robin spoke about the villagers, the way his face softened when Robin laughed.

And John, who had always felt like he was living in his brother's shadow, began to see himself differently through Robin's eyes.

For the first time, he felt like more than just "Prince john". With Robin, he was just john - a boy trying to figure out who he was.

But their secret wasn't easy to keep. Marian was sharp, and she had noticed the way Robin's absences were becoming more frequent.

One evening, after Robin returned form another mysterious trip into the forest, she confronted him.

"Robin, where have you been?" Marian demanded, her arms crossed.

"Just scouting," Robin said, trying to sound casual.

Marian raised an eyebrow. "Scouting, huh? And it has nothing to do with a certain prince?"

Robin froze. "What? No! Of course not!"

But Marian's knowing look says it all. "Robin, this is dangerous. I'd the sheriff finds out, or if john betrays you-"

"He won't," Robin interrupted. "I know he won't."

Marian sighed, her expression softening. "I just don't want you to get hurt."

Robin nodded, grateful for her concern but unable to explain the pull he felt toward john. It wasn't something he could ignore, no matter how risky it was.
