Family Secrets

Gone

 Hearing those words come out of Seth's mouth ripped Roman's heart out, it couldn't be true!

 "Where's the car?" Roman demanded, refusing to believe Dean was dead!

 "Uh, it was just brought into the garage by the tow truck. Are you two okay?"

 "Can...can we see it?" Roman asked.

 "Sure, but there's not much left of it though." Micheals answered.

 "Thanks, Seth you stay here! I'll be back soon!" Roman said, as he rushed out of the room.

 Roman ran to the garage, when he got there he went inside and looked around, he was the only one there. He was grateful for that as he saw the car and his breath froze in his lungs, he starred at the twisted, burnt remains of the car and felt sick! He slowly walked towards it, as he began examining the car he had to use it to support himself, realizing it really was Dean's car! His legs gave out and he fell to his knees sobbing, Dean was gone, it wasn't a mistake or nightmare; the man he loved was gone! As he cried his phone went off letting him know he had a new text message, he knew it was either Seth or Paige. He sat down leaning against the car, as he took his phone out and read the text from Seth through his tears.

  S- Ro, please tell me it's not really Dean's?

  R-  Seth...it's his car!

  S- Are you sure? Maybe it just looks like his? I'm begging you tell me it's not his!

  R- Dammit Seth! It's his car, I'd know it anywhere!

  S- I'm sorry Rome, I just wanted this to be a huge mistake!

  R- I know. Where are you guys?

  S- In the car, Paige has been crying since you left. We're waiting for you so we can go to the hospital.

  R- Alright.

  S- You need me to come get you?

  R- No, I'll be out back in a few minutes.

 After ending the conversation with Seth, Roman sighed shakily as he stood holding the car for support. He looked at the remains one last time as he ran his hand over it, he felt his tears fall silently. He ran his hands over his face, he needed to stay calm until he left the station, so no one got suspicious. He took a deep breath and with one last look at the car Roman left the garage and headed outside.

 Seconds after he left, Ford; who had been following the trio all evening, came out of the office he was hiding in and went into the garage. He was confused why Roman would have spent 10 minutes alone in the garage with a destroyed car. Curious to know whose car it was he left the garage and asked a few Officers about it, until he finally found one of the Officers in charge of the case. After talking to him for a few minutes Ford learned the car belonged to a man named Dean Ambrose, who had died in the crash. He didn't know who that was, or why Reigns, Rollins and their mystery girl would be interested in him, but he was going to find out! 

**At The Hospital**:

 The ride to the hospital was silent as none of them could believe this was really happening. At the station, before they left Roman had been met at the car by both Seth and Paige.  They hugged in a three-way hug, as they cried, each one feeling like a part of them had died with Dean.

 Arriving at the hospital, Seth parked before he looked at his brother and girlfriend; he had only recently become close to Dean and even though losing Dean ripped him apart, he knew it was 1000 times worse for Roman and Paige! He needed to be strong for them, he could grieve when he was alone, right now they needed someone to lean on and that was him!

 "You guys ready to go in?" Seth asked gently.

 "Yeah, I need to see him one last time." Roman answered quietly, his voice cracking.

 They got out and headed inside, the hospital wasn't busy which they were grateful for, not wanting to wait to say goodbye. They went up to the front desk, where an elderly nurse sat working, seeing them she smiled as she spoke.

 "Good evening, what can I help you with?"

 "We received a call telling us that my brother had been in a car accident and was brought here!" Seth answered.

 "Oh, okay dear. What's his name?" She asked gently.

 "Dean Ambrose."

 "Spell the last name please."

 "A-M-B-R-O-S-E, Dean Ambrose." Seth answered.

 "Oh, if you'll have a seat in the waiting room I'll page Dr. Knight and he'll come talk to you as soon as he can." She said gently, after reading that Dean was in the morgue.

 "Thank you." Seth said, as they went and sat down.

 10 minutes later Dr. Knight came to the waiting room, he was shown to the trio he spoke.

 "Are you family of Dean Ambrose?"

 "We are, I'm his brother Seth, this is my girlfriend Paige, and this is Dean's boyfriend Roman."

 "I'm Dr. Knight, I took care of your brother. Why don't we go to my office so we can talk in private?"

 "Okay." Seth agreed, as they followed him down the hall.

 "Please sit. I love my job, I really do...except for this part." Dr. Knight said gently, as he shut the door and sat across from them. "When Dean was brought in he was very badly injured and barely alive. We rushed him to the OR, but before we could do anything he...flat-lined. We did all we could...but his injuries were too severe and he passed away." Dr. Knight explained gently, as all three broke down again. "I'm truly sorry for your loss."

 "Can...can we see him?" Roman asked quietly.

 "I'm sorry, but with cases like this hospital rules don't allow anyone to see the body, until there's been an autopsy and the body has been cleared for release to the family for burial." Dr. Knight answered.

 "What? We can't even say goodbye?" Paige asked upset, as Roman took her in his arms.

 "I'm sorry, but it's hospital rules."

 "Alright, well when will we be able to bu...bury him?" Seth asked.

 "We'll call you as soon as the autopsy is finished." Dr. Knight answered.

 "Thank you." Seth said, as they all shook hands, before the trio left.

 As soon as they were gone Dr. Knight took out his phone and dialled a number.

 "Is it done?"

 "Yep! They just left my office; two men and one woman, just like you said!"

 "Did they buy the story?"

 "Yes sir, all three were devastated; especially the boyfriend!"

 "Very nice work Dr. Knight! Your money is on it's way, we'll be in touch if we require your services again!"

 "Thank you Mr. Helmsley, it was nice doing business with you!" Dr. Knight said smiling, before he hung up.
