Finding Clarity

**With Dean**:

 Dean walked along the deserted part of the beach; when you're The Authority you can afford to have your own private beach! Dean for once was grateful for The Authority's power, he really needed to be alone right now! He sat down on the sand, close enough he wouldn't get wet, but he could still dip his toes in the warm water.

 He sighed shakily as he looked out across the beautiful water, he was glad Stephanie and Hunter had let him come out here alone, the last thing he needed was a damn babysitter! Of course that didn't stop them from watching him right now from the house, he could feel their beady, little eyes on him! He turned around and looked at the house, he saw Orton and Barrett watching him, so he stuck his middle finger up at them, before he turned back to the water.

 As he sat starring at the water, he thought of everything Stephanie had told him, his entire world had been turned upside down! His childhood had been one giant clusterfuck of pain, anger, and feeling unloved! Hearing how Steph's...his father had left his mother when she got pregnant with him, he now understood all these years later why! It was all because she hated him, blamed him for the man she loved leaving! It wasn't like he had a damn choice in the matter, he was just a baby for shits sake! At least knowing the man he grew up calling dad wasn't really his father was something to be happy about, hell it's not like his real dad was any better though!

 He was so torn, he didn't know how the hell he was supposed to feel! On one hand Stephanie was co-head of The Authority; the family he had grown to despise and hate with every fiber of his being! And he hated her as much as the rest of the family! Then there was the fact that she was his sister, true flesh and blood to him; and the only real family that gave any kind of crap about him! Which made him feel guilty about hating her...dammit he was so confused!

 Feeling his anger and frustrations clawing at him to be freed, he decided to go for a swim; if he was lucky maybe he'd run into a shark! He walked into the water and began swimming, trying to out run his racing thoughts. He pushed himself until he was unable to swim anymore, tired, sore and out of breath he stopped swimming and looked around realizing he had swam to the other side of the beach.

 Not giving a damn about the shit he'd probably get into because of his leaving, he swam to the shore and got out. He began walking back to the house when he found himself near a wedding, normally Dean wouldn't give a flying fuck about weddings and all that romantic, mushy, lovey-dovey crap! This time though Dean stopped and watched the wedding...no, he watched the couple getting married actually! He shook his head smiling, of all the weddings he could have stumbled onto, he just had to find the one with two grooms! Instantly his mind was full of images of himself and Roman getting married, with Seth and Paige right there beside them! His eyes filled with tears as he thought of Roman; his Samoan Prince, Seth; his two-toned brother, and Paige; his beautiful sister! He began to play with his ring as he thought of the only people who he loved; he had ever loved!

 It was in that moment when suddenly, like a fog lifting off of a lake, the confusion and chaos in his head vanished, and all that he was left with was the images of Roman, Seth and Paige's faces! He smiled as he knew they were his true family, the only ones who give a damn about him, the only ones who ever would! He made up his mind, he wouldn't stop until he got rid of The Authority for good; family or not, and he was reunited with his true family!

 He would return to his family, no matter how long it took, or what he had to do! Once he was back with Roman he'd marry him, being away from him again made Dean realize that a life without Roman in it was a life he didn't want! He didn't know how he was going to bring The Authority down and escape, but he would, he just needed a little time to figure it out. His thoughts were interrupted by someone calling his name, he turned around and saw Kane and Show standing by their car. He knew until he figured it out he'd have to act like he had changed; that by learning the truth, he realized where his true alliance stood! He smiled to himself; this was going to be fun!

 "Ambrose, you weren't trying to escape were you?" Show asked looking at Dean, as he cracked his knuckles.

 "Now why would I do that Show?" Dean asked smiling, as he walked up to them.

 "Are you feeling alright Ambrose? You hit your head or something when you were swimming?" Kane asked confused, as he looked at Show; who was equally confused, before they looked at Dean.

 "Nope! I feel great big guys, better than I have in a long time! My mind has never been clearer!" Dean answered smiling. "Let's go home huh!" He said, as he patted both giants on the back, before he got into the car.

 On the drive back to the house, Dean couldn't help, but smile knowing that he wasn't going to stop until The Authority had been brought to their knees, and he was back home where he belonged! Until then he'd enjoy messing with his family, making them all believe he was with them! He was tired of hurting because of Hunter and Stephanie, it would be their turn to hurt soon! He loved Roman and dammit he would get his happily ever after no matter who he had to destroy to get it!
