I was in my room drinking coffee and reading a newspaper when my beloved came back. (Y/n) walked in the room and went straight to me. They wrapped their arms around my shoulders and rested their head on mine. I didn't like physically affection much, besides from my mother, but I made an exception for my darling.
"Hello, darling," I said as a looked up at them on top of my head.
They just mumbled and nuzzled more into my hair and deer ears. I chuckled and let them, they were usually like this when they were drained.
"Careful, don't want you to poke an eye out," I said with a chuckle. Though I was serious, I didn't want my darling rose to poke their eye out from my antlers.
"I'm not going to," (Y/n) says into my hair. They seemed tired and drained.
I grabbed them and moved them to be sitting on my lap. I looked at them, and they looked at me. Then they laid their head on my chest.
I chuckled and said, "Are you alright, my darling rose?"
"Yeah, I'm just tired," They said as they nuzzled into my chest.
I chuckled and held onto my darling black rose, then said, "I hope you're not too tired. I have something for you, my darling black rose~."
"Hmm," They hummed in a questioning manner.
I smirked and held their hand up. I then snapped my fingers, making the radio play in my room. The song "Sailor Song" by Gigi Perez started playing.
I stood up, holding them in my embrace, and started ballroom dancing with them. Their hands wrapped around my neck, and I was holding on their waist.
"You're so cheesy," They said as they smiled up at me.
"Only cheesy for you, my dear. Oh, won't you kiss me on the mouth and love me like a sailor? And when you get a taste, can you tell me what's my flavor? I don't believe in God, but I believe that you're my savior," I sang softly to the music as a danced with them.
Their smile grew and reached up to kiss me on the lips. I leaned down and kissed them back.
Oh, how I missed my darling black rose.
They pulled away a little and said, "You taste like venison, and a little bit of blood and ash."
I chuckled and held them close as I said, "Oh? Do I? Well, you, my dear, taste like pumpkin spice, a bit of blood, and honey. The same taste I love."
"Such a sap. But I guess you're my sap," They said as they held my face in their hands.
"Always, and forever, my love," I said, then I twirled them around and held them, so their back was to my chest.
I then held out a box in front of them and opened it. There were two rings in there, one for me and one for (Y/n).
"My love, will you marry me," I asked, holding them to my chest with the rings in front of them.

Third-Person POV.
(Y/n)'s eyes widen as they looked at the rings. They couldn't believe it. Alastor was purposing to them.
"... W-What... y-you're purposing?... I-I-.... oh god... yes! Yes, Alastor, a hundred times yes," (Y/n) said as they turned around and hugged Alastor.
Alastor's smile grew bigger, and he hugged (Y/n) right back. (Y/n) teared up as they hugged Alastor tight.
"I'm so happy my dear, I wanted to ask you when we were alive, but things got in the way," Alastor said as he remembered how he died before he could ask (Y/n) to marry him.
"Yes, but now you did. And I'm happy to call you my future husband," (Y/n) said as they held Alastor's hand.
"Mmmm, yes, and I can't image marrying anyone else, darling. You're the only man, I can stand," Alastor said as he nuzzled into (Y/n)'s neck and gently slid the ring on their ring finger.
Second Person POV.
You stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of your outfit for the fourth time. It didn't matter how many times you smoothed the fabric — your heart was still fluttering like a moth trapped in a glass. Tonight was the night you'd be telling everyone. Announcing the engagement.
Behind you, the room swelled with soft crackling from the phonograph. The record hissed and popped, the slow hum of jazz winding through the air like smoke. You caught Alastor's reflection approaching before you felt his hands — warm, gloved — settle on your shoulders.
"My, my, you're a vision," he purred, resting his chin on your head. "Are you sure you still wish to share me with the others?"
You rolled your eyes. "They won't steal you. You're too much work."
He laughed — that vibrant, unnatural laugh that echoed like a memory, fading into static. "Ah, but what is love without a little effort? A little madness? A little... danger?"
He turned you around, gently, and held out another small velvet box. "Before we go," he said, quieter now, "I want you to have this."
You opened it to find a strange but beautiful ring — not a diamond, but some kind of blood-red gem, pulsing faintly like it was alive. It shimmered unnaturally under the light.
"It's... definitely cursed," you said with a dry smile.
"Only mildly," he replied sweetly. "It binds our intentions, not our souls. For now."
You took his hand, sliding the ring onto your finger. It hummed against your skin, warm — or maybe you imagined that. His smile faltered for just a second, eyes flicking over your face like he was memorizing you. Like you were something rare.
"...You are not like the rest," he murmured, voice dipped low and almost human. "And I do not say that lightly."
Then, almost immediately, his grin snapped back into place. "Now, let's go ruin everyone's evening with our happiness, shall we?"
"We shall," You said.
