It was now 7:30 and I had 30 minutes to get to school on time. From my point of view I was making perfect time. It was just another dark and rainy day in Portland Oregon.
Today I decided I would wear my faded blue jeans with a cute Bastille floral print shirt that I got from Nordstrom, and my favorite army boots that I had gotten from Hot topics.
I decided to apply light makeup to my face. I then topped off my outfit with my all time favorite gold necklace that I had bought from the city of Athens.
Ya See, I had never really been to Athens, I was just a really good online shopper and the brochure deffinantly said that it was hand made in Athens. Some how I believe that this necklace held more value than I led myself to believe.
It gave me this weird comforting feeling every time I wore it or when ever I looked at. It has a trident and a lightening bolt enter laced together, it only cost me $5.00! And on top of that great price, I just so happen to buy it on a day where shipping was totally free!
Talk about lucky! With that being said I decided to head downstairs and get a bite to eat before heading out. Walking downstairs slowly I noticed something being a bit off, not being able to put my finger on it I decided to just blow it off and stuff my face with a bite to eat.
I walked over to the fridge and grabbed a bowl of fruit my mom had gotten for me yesterday after she got off work. My mom was awesome, I love her so much!
She went out of her way just to make sure I had the best of everything . Or just anything I needed or wanted in general.
My mom works at a big sports firm for "Elite Oregon Athletics". Rainy and muddy as it may be, Oregon has some of the best athletes the world has ever seen.
With that job alone, my mom makes a lot of money. Financially we live VERYYY WELL, if I do say so myself. And as for my dad well, as far as I've been told..... He died when I was a baby, my mom doesn't like to talk about it at all.
She tells me from time to time that I look just like him and how he would have been so proud of all that I have accomplished. Weirdly enough, I have absolutely no pictures of him so I have no idea who to compare my looks to. Anyways, My mom said after he died she lost all the photos of him in storage while we were moving.
She said that was a dark time in her life and all she wanted to do was be happy again. Thankfully I was that one priceless thing in her life that could bring her out of her pain. I really wish I could have met my dad though . From what my mom tells me, he was deffinantly a weirdo like me.
It's strange though, every time my mom describes my dad to me, it's like she's describing two totally different people? One who was a bit controlling but loved her like the sun loves the sky, and the other, a player and sweetheart, but loved her like the fishies loved the sea.
"He just couldn't be without her" she would say. Then BOOM just like that, he was no more. I have no idea how he died though, and I don't are to know honestly.
However he died, it's not going to bring him back or make him being gone any better than what it is now. It's weird to miss someone you kind of never knew.
Sometimes I have the strangest feeling as if he's still out there... Watching over me somewhere. DING...DING...DING. Oh crap I now have 15minutes to make it to school on time, I live freakin 30minutes away! Pulling myself back into reality I grab my large trench coat and swipe my keys off the counter and head out.
I drive a beautiful 2013 Black Range Rover with all black interior leather. My mom bought it for me on my 17th Birthday, to say I was happy would be a complete understatement. Anyways, I go to Serta High school "Home of the Flames".
