I pulled on my favorite blue v-neck shirt. I then slipped in my ripped American Eagle jeans and went downstairs for breakfast. Because I've only had one arm my whole life, I know how to do things without two arms. Pulling out a cereal bowl, I saw my mom come downstairs.
"Hey Cassidy," my mom said, cheery.
"Hi," I said, glum. Today I had to take a history test on Ancient Egypt. If history got any more boring I would have been bored to death by now. I grabbed a spoon and sat down at the kitchen table. I read my history book as I ate so I could at least get a C on the test. I hadn't studied at all, which wasn't good. I took notes with my pencil. My mom made my lunch and set it in front of me. I put my books, binder, and pencils into my backpack and strolled out the door to another day at Pioneer Trail High.
I climbed onto the bus, and sat down next to Amanda, my best friend.
"Hey Cassidy," she said.
"Hey Amanda," I said. I hope the test goes well. If not I won't get to go to the sleepover at Amanda's this weekend. She throws the best sleepover parties. I opened my bag and studied the history book again. Amanda did the same. I am on the second stop, Amanda is on the first. So we have lots of time on the bus. After about five minutes of studying, I looked over at her. She looked let at me and smiled. She whipped out her phone and checked her messages. She gets a lot; she is pretty and has a boyfriend. I, however, do not have a boyfriend. I couldn't cuddle or hug all this well so I guess that it means I won't find love. But maybe I will. Maybe somebody likes me and I just don't know it. I closed my history book and opened a good book. Something that doesn't say George Washingtons name every one hundred words. I was reading a book called peak. I flipped open to the page I was on.
"What are you reading?" Amanda asked. She was always looking for new books to read. The bus stopped, and a boy got on. His name was John Hunter. He was cute, smart, funny, and all around hot. He walked on the bus flashing his cute smile. When he walked by me he blushed and looked away. I brushed a price of hair out of my eyes. I loved him more than anything. And he didn't know. But of course I wanted to tell him, but i didn't know how. I should write a note or have Amanda tell him for me.
"Amanda? You know how I like John? Could you maybe, I don't know, tell him for me?" I asked. She smiled.
"You know it!" She exclaimed. She then ripped a price of paper out of her notebook and wrote: Hey John! FYI, Cassidy like you.
"That's good Amanda," I said. She nodded and passed it to him. He sat in the seat behind us. He then passed the note back, after writing on it. My heart bested so loudly I was sure that Amanda could hear it. Amanda unfolded the note, he gave remained blank and expressionless, giving me no insight to what he said back. Amanda then handed it to me. I opened up the note and read it. My heart broke. It said: The girl with one arm? It truly hurt and I'm not sure why. Amanda took it from me, wrote on it and handed it to John. John wrote on it, and handed it to Amanda. It said: Yeah I think she's pretty. I read it and instantly a smile returned to my face. Today, I thought, would be a good day.Comment please!! I need input!!
