Back in the classroom, Yejin rolled her eyes, still annoyed from being accused of dating Donghyuck. She glanced at him, his smug smirk only fueling her irritation.
"Stop staring, sunshine" Donghyuck teased, tapping his pen against the desk.
"First of all, stop calling me that. Second, I wasn't staring, I was plotting your doom" she snapped under her breath.
"I'd say that's cute, but I think you've already maxed out your quota of compliments for the day."
Before she could retort, the professor shot them both a glare. Yejin exhaled sharply, pulling her notebook closer to focus on the lecture.
Donghyuck, on the other hand, casually flipped his pen in his hand. He leaned closer to her, whispering, "Why are you so quiet? Did I win already?"
Yejin gritted her teeth. "You don't win, idiot. I'm just trying not to get kicked out of class because of you."
For the rest of the period, Donghyuck continued his antics—tapping her shoulder with his pen, poking at her notes, and whispering nonsense. By the time class ended, Yejin had never been more relieved to leave a room.
"Let's get lunch." Donghyuck declared as they exited the building.
"No thanks. I don't eat with clowns" Yejin shot back.
Donghyuck put a hand over his chest in mock offense. "Ouch, sunshine, that hurt. Really, it did."
"Stop calling me that!"
"Hey, you two!" Mark's voice interrupted their bickering. He was standing by a table in the cafeteria, waving them over. "Hurry up, or all the good seats will be gone."
Yejin sighed. "Fine, but only because Mark is here to keep me sane."
Mark grinned as they approached. "You two are like walking chaos" he commented as Donghyuck slid into the seat across from Yejin, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Chaos? No, no. We're bonding" Donghyuck corrected.
Yejin scoffed. "The only bonding we'll ever do is in your imagination."
Mark and chenle, who had just arrived, exchanged knowing looks. "You know, this feels a lot like flirting" Mark remarked, earning a death glare from Yejin.
"Flirting? With him? Are you insane?"
Donghyuck leaned back in his chair, smirking. "It's okay, Mark. She's in denial. I've seen this in dramas."
Yejin stood abruptly, grabbing her tray.
"I'm done here,enjoy your lunch"
As she walked away, Donghyuck called after her "Bye, sunshine!"
Mark looked at her as she's walking away "No jiji wait I'm supposed to take you home!"

Saturday 4:30pm
Yejin was lying on her bed, basking in the comfort of her soft blankets. The weekend was her sacred time to rest, and she wasn't planning on doing anything that required even the smallest bit of effort.
Her phone buzzed, and she reluctantly reached for it, seeing Jaemin's name pop up.
"Hey, Jiji!" Jaemin's cheerful voice rang through the speaker.
"What do you want, Jaemin?" she groaned, rolling onto her side.
"Don't sound so grumpy. I was thinking we should hang out today! Mark, Jeno, Renjun, and I are going to the arcade. You should come!"
