It was a peaceful weekend morning, and Yejin was sprawled out on the couch in her living room, scrolling through her phone. Her little brother Hajoon was kneeling on the floor, fidgeting with his toys and looking utterly bored.

"Noona" Hajoon whined, shuffling closer to her. "Let's go somewhere fun!"

"No" Yejin replied without looking up from her screen.

"Please?" Hajoon dragged the word out, pulling at the edge of her blanket.

"No, Hajoon. I'm resting."

He sighed dramatically before turning to their mother, who was busy in the kitchen. "Mom, tell noona to take me out!"

Their mother peeked out from behind the kitchen door. "Yejin, take your brother out. You've been lazing around all day."

"I'm not lazing. I'm... recharging!"

Her mother gave her a pointed look. "Recharging or not, Hajoon's bored. Take him out somewhere."

"Mom! Why do I always have to—"

Their mother stepped forward, hands on her hips. "Yejin, if you don't take him, no allowance for a week."

Yejin groaned, throwing her phone onto the couch. "Fine, fine! Let me think of where to go."

"Somewhere with cake!" Hajoon chimed in, grinning.

Yejin thought for a moment. Then, an idea struck. "How about we go to a café? There's one with really good desserts, and I've been wanting a coffee anyway."

Her mom raised an eyebrow. "Sure, let's go together."

As they stepped into the cozy café, the scent of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries filled the air. Yejin's mother looked around, taking in the inviting atmosphere.

"This place is lovely" her mother said, smiling.

"Welcome!" Donghyuck's mother greeted from behind the counter. Her friendly expression brightened even more when she saw Yejin. "Oh, Yejin! You're here. Who are these lovely guests?"

Yejin smiled politely. "Hi, Auntie. This is my mom and my brother, Hajoon. I told them you have the best desserts in town."

"Well, aren't you sweet" Donghyuck's mom said warmly. "It's so nice to meet you both. Come, have a seat! I'll bring out some cake for Hajoon and coffee for you."

As Yejin led her family to a table, her mother glanced back at the counter and leaned in to whisper, "How does she know you? She seems nice."

"She is" Yejin replied casually. "I'm kind of a regular here. They know me because I come here a lot with Mark and Jaemin."

Her mother raised a brow but smiled. "I see. Well, let me go introduce myself."

Yejin's mom walked over to the counter, striking up a friendly conversation with Donghyuck's mom, while Yejin and Hajoon got settled at the table.

A few moments later, the door to the staff room opened, and out walked Donghyuck, wiping his hands on his apron. He froze momentarily when he saw Yejin but quickly replaced his surprise with his signature smirk.

"Look who it is" he said, crossing his arms. "Couldn't stay away, could you?"

Yejin rolled her eyes. "Relax, I didn't come to see you. I'm here for the coffee."

Donghyuck snorted. "Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that."

"Why are you even out here? Go back to the kitchen."
