~~ Part Six
"Get away from me!" I scream at Kelli and Gabrielle who are kneeling beside me. The blood drips down my arm, causing a puddle beneath me. The bite in my arm caused unbearable pain but there was nothing I can do. I could see the fallen zombies around the place including the one that attacked me. More are coming in the distance and I could see the fear in Kelli's eyes. Gabrielle looks at me with glassy eyes before grabbing Kelli's hands and running. How could he leave me here alive still? He could've just shot me in the head. My eyes water as I see the group of zombies heading my way. Goodbye Kelli. They fall on top of me, ripping chucks of my skins out and going for my flesh. I scream in pain before closing my eyes.

My eyes flutter open and I'm immediately sitting up. Tears stream down my face along with sweat. I look to see Kelli still asleep and Gabrielle now walking over to me. "You okay?" He asks caressing my face. I flinch before shaking my head. "What does it look like?" I spit. He looks taken back before removing his hand. "I just had a bad dream." I tell him. "I figured." He says looking down at his jumper I am wearing that is now soaked from my tears. "Want to go get something to eat?" He asks, changing the subject. I nod my head and smile. I am glad he didn't ask about my night mare. Before I go, I decide to change in to my jeans. I head in to the kitchen to check the cupboards. We found some bread but because there was no electricity, we couldn't have toast. We decide to have peanut butter sandwiches instead. Kelli walks in rubbing her eyes but smiles when she sees us. I pass her a sandwich as she sits down to join us. We eat in silence when that silence is disturbed due to a loud banging noise causing me to jump out of my seat. I look in to the lounge room to see a whole heard slowly coming our way. I try not to scream before grabbing my bag. "Let's go now!" I shout. Kelli grabs her teddy bear before following Gabrielle and I. Shit, shit, shit! There is no back door. The zombies follow us down the hallway. "We have to get out the front." Gabrielle yells. "There is going to be more there!" I shout wanting to hesitate but I know that was our only option. We enter through another doorway to the lounge room to see more there. Gabrielle pulls out his gun and takes four out. I reach for katana that was on the ground next to the couch before taking out another three. I reach for Kelli's backpack before racing out the front door with Kelli and Gabrielle behind me. He shuts the door behind us and we continue to run only to be stopped again. "Stay right there!" A girl who looks around my age shouts, pointing her pistol at us. "Drop your weapons." I shake my head but Gabrielle nudges me too. I groan before dropping my katana on the floor. I feel the gun in the back of my jeans but choose to leave it there just in case. "Who are you?" I ask. She laughs. "Like I am going to tell you." She snorts. I look at her more closely and a wave of realisation floods me. She is covered with blood and guts but I can still recognise her. "Samantha." I say. Her eyes widen. "How do you know my name?" She asks. "We used to be best friends in primary school before you moved towns." Her jaw drops and she immediately puts her gun down. "Skye!" She exclaims. I walk over to her before embracing her. "I can't believe it's you." She says. Gabrielle coughs behind me just as I pull away. "Why are you covered in blood and guts?" He asks. "Walker camouflage." She answers. I raise my eyebrow. "Walker?" She nods. "I got sick of the word zombie so I decided to use the same phrase they use on the Walking Dead." She says. All of a sudden anger floods through Gabrielle as he grabs his gun and points it at her as he just realised something. "Hey!" I shout standing in front of Sam. "She let them in the house." He snaps. I turn to face Samantha to see she looked guilty. "They would've killed her if she didn't have that camouflage but no she opened the door for them to get in." He says. "Such a smart arse." She comments. "Why would you do that?" I ask her. She shrugs. "We needed a place to stay so I thought if someone was in there, they would clear them out and we could easily kill the walkers afterwards." I roll my eyes but they open wide at the word 'we' caught my attention. "Who are you with?" I ask out of curiosity. She smirks. "Two other people, both you know."
