They walked inside the building together with every single pair of eyes on them. The guy with the died red hair and the girl with the hood over her head were quite the sight. She stared at the floor, afraid to look at the faces that stared at her. She hadn't been at school for a week, of course they noticed and were wondering what had happened to her. Chris and his girlfriend walked next to them. He smirked and whispered something between the lines of "she finally understood she's ugly" to his girlfriend who laughed. But Michael heard him.

It didn't take a lot for Chris to be pushed against a locker. Michael's fist landed on his jaw and he screamed in pain. "Don't," another punch on Chris's nose "speak," a kick on his stomach "at her," Michael pulled him away from the lockers only to push him back against their surface "like that." He leaned away to catch his breath and watched Chris sliding to the floor and trying to stop the bleeding. "Or bad things will happen."

Then he walked away with Amy's warm hand in his.

"Thanks," she whispered. "Again." He had already saved her twice.

"Any time," he smiled at her. "You shouldn't let him treat you like that though."

"Why not? It's not like I don't deserve it."

"You don't!" He exclaimed. "You deserve so much better than that, it's high time you realised."

"No Michael I don't. I deserve all of this, trust me."

"No, you trust me, you don't deserve it," he insisted. "You Amy are one of the most amazing people in this world. And look at your face!"

"You don't know me!" she screamed at him. He was frustrating, always trying to convince her that she deserved better.

"I don't have to know you to love you!" he yelled back and she froze.

"What do you mean you... You love me?" she shuttered and his eyes went wide. He said it accidentally, but he wasn't going to take it back.

"I do," he said. "I do love you."

I can't make it any worse, he thought, so he leaned in and kissed her.

To finally have her lips on his felt amazing. It was like the fourth of July, with fireworks and colours being everywhere, but only they could see it.

He was finally kissing her.
