"Can I meet her?" Michael asked when Amy was dressed and ready to leave.
"My mother?"
She took a deep breath, ready to hear the answer.
"Well, ya," he gave her a nervous smile that made him even more adorable than he already was.
"Why?" Amy asked. "Why would you want to meet her?"
The boy just shrugged. "I don't know. I guess I just want to meet the woman who brought such an amazing girl up."
Those words made her face light up with a bright smile. "I'm sure she'd love to meet you too."
She grabbed his hands, and her keys, and headed out. When they reached his car, he opened the door for her.
"What a gentleman," she joked and he huffed.
"From now on, you'll open the doors by yourself."
She rolled her eyes, but laughed anyway.
Ten minutes or so later they were at the hospital. Michael's hands were shaking. A nurse greeted Amy and she smiled at her.
"I come here pretty often," she confessed. "I know almost everyone here. Staff and patients."
A boy in a wheelchair passed by and high-fived with both Amy and Michael, without knowing him.
"That's Taylor," she explained with a sad look in her face. "One of my best friends. Happy child. He had an accident when he was ten and has been moving around with that thing for six years now."
"Poor kid," Michael said.
"Not really," Amy replied. "He still tries to play football, he just can't do it proffesionally."Completely out of the blue, Michael threw his arms around her. She tried to pull away, uncomfortable with the PDA but he didn't let her, so she gave up. She just moved so she could hide her face in his chest. Michael could feel his wet from Amy's tears T-shirt clinging onto his skin. It was brand new. He had bought it for the date, to impress her.
"It's okay," he whispered and held her even more tighty on his warm embrace. "I'm here now."
"Please don't leave me."
"I won't," he said. "I promise."
Amy, then, thought she heard him whisper that she loved him, but she couldn't be sure. All she was sure about was that she loved him too, with all her heart.
They kept walking, until Amy stopped in front of the room with the number 612.
"Are you sure?" she asked him. He nodded, and so, she opened the door.~:~:~:~:~:~:~
Fuck yes, I updated. So, I know this story sucks but I had promised an old friend I would upload it. I have to admit that since I wrote that story my writing and stories have improved a lot, so my next one (which I have already started writing) will be worth reading, so bear with me.
Also, I'm sorry I'm not updating pretty often. I just wanna do better this year.
