DAY 360

The First Run? (Chapter 6)

Vinly woke up the next morning, Feeling the burns that just came in from last night's 4 hours game jam. He stood up and stretched his arms before going to the bathroom and washing his face, brushing his teeth, basically, it's normally his routine, his catchphrase? Glammed, energized, ready to play (sounds kind of cringe but you'd have to get used to it). Finally, Vinly dressed up, he realized that he was running out of supply and soon would be left starving, he had to use his money from the last bet he made with a user named "Acrotix" and spend it with the Food.

he quickly got out of the apartment and walked towards the nearest grocery store (which is just a kilometer away), after he got there, he was greeted with the sign "Premy's Groceries", the market itself was dimly lit with a Single slow fan blowing winds above from the roof, he went inside and was greeted by the cashier, Vinly nodded, grabbed a basket, and searched the aisles for foods and drinks. Vinly looked at his list, it contains:

-3 Doritos
-7 Bottles of coke
-a pack of candy to freshen himself up
-A chocolate cake (his favourite)
-5 energy bars
-frozen pizza (to be baked in an oven)
-10 Mashed potatoes

Vinly searched for Doritos first, which wasn't that hard to find, then for the bottles of coke, which there they sat in front of the aisles in the Fridge, he went to go to the candy aisle to get Mentos (The Orange ones), he of course saved the cake for last because they were stored in a Bakery Display Case, Just besides the cashier counter, so he went for the energy bars instead, which was just close to the mint aisle. Finally, both the Frozen pizza and the mushed potatoes were in the freezer, and Vinly grabbed both of them.

Vinly was heading to the cashier, his basket full of supplies, he handed it to them.

"Oh, can i also buy a Slice of Chocolate-" Vinly was about to order when suddenly a Guy bumped into him, both going into an oh and almost stumbling. Feeling shook, Vinly turned around to the guy with a quite frustrated voice:

"Hey man, watch where you're going!" Vinly scolded them

"Sorry sir, won't do it again" The Guy raised his hands up and backing away before confirming it was okay and walked out of the grocery.

Suddenly, Vinly felt a pang of Familiarity from his voice, it was...Strangely similar to Henzey, but he shakes his head to get out of the thoughts, there was absolutely no way he'd meet him at this time, it's just wasn't possible, he knows better than to trust strangers. He turned back to the cashier and continued his order:

"Sorry, can I have a chocolate cake please?"

"Sure thing" the cashier smiled, opened the Bakery case and grabbed a slice of chocolate cake, before putting it in a box, after a while, the cashier finally finished scanning and put the products and the Cake in a brown paper bag, before giving it to Vinly. Vinly thanked the cashier and left the grocery with his supplies.

When walking back home, Vinly was deep in thoughts, he was still shaken by the Interaction Earlier with him and the Guy.

"I've...been trying to erase my thoughts from that guy...but somehow, it always finds its way to keep coming back to my head"

Then Vinly thought for a second.

"Was it really him? I mean with crazy coincidence it could but...at the same time it feels impossible...the voice however, it does remind me of him..."

Not paying Attention, Vinly accidentally hits a streetlight pole, he groans in pain as he falls down, his Vision blurring for a second, before shaking his head and Holding it.

"Can I atleast walk peacefully without walking into anything?" Vinly doubts before slowly standing up, taking his composure, and Continuing to walk back home.
