The rain continued to pour heavily outside, and the winds had reached a new intensity. The storm was no longer just an obstacle—it was a force of nature, relentless and powerful. But in the small room amidst the fields, Taehyung and Jungkook were left in an uneasy silence.

Jungkook stood in the center of the room, trying to warm up after his cold, soaking wet run through the storm. His teeth chattered, though the damp Clothes. His body showing from the light purple dress he was wearing today. His body trembled not only from the cold but from the intense concern he had felt when he saw Taehyung struggling alone in the fields. The fear that had gripped his chest, the panic that had made him run toward Taehyung without thinking, was still fresh in his mind.

Taehyung, on the other hand, had his back rested on the wall, sitting with one knee folded. His eyes closed. his shoulders tense with frustration. The lantern’s light flickered softly between them, casting long shadows on the walls. It was almost like the storm itself had broken something between them, a barrier that had been hanging between the two, fragile yet never quite breaking.

Taehyung ran his hand through his damp hair, his voice low but filled with tension as he finally spoke.

“What the hell were you thinking, Jungkook?” His words were sharp, cutting through the thick air of the room like a knife.

Jungkook flinched slightly, his gaze dropping to the floor. He knew that Taehyung was angry, but he hadn’t anticipated this kind of reaction. The scolding, the tone—it was like nothing he’d ever heard from Taehyung before.

“You could’ve gotten yourself killed running out there like that!” Taehyung continued, his voice rising slightly as he turned to face Jungkook. “Do you have any idea what could’ve happened? What kind of danger you put yourself in?”

Jungkook’s heart pounded in his chest, guilt flooding his veins. He had acted on instinct, following his need to protect Taehyung, but hearing Taehyung’s words, the worry in his voice, made him feel small.

“I... I couldn’t just let you be out there alone,” Jungkook murmured, his voice soft but sincere.

Taehyung's eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening. “You don’t get it, do you?” He stepped closer to Jungkook, his presence suddenly looming larger, his anger raw. “You don’t have the experience with this kind of storm. You don’t know what it’s like to lose everything in a matter of hours. You think you can just run out into the rain and make everything better?”

Jungkook opened his mouth to respond, but Taehyung’s voice cut through him, more forceful than before.

“I’m a farmer. I’ve spent my whole life working in these fields. I know how dangerous this is. I know what I’m doing out there. But you? You don’t know anything about this.”
