The final moments before Jungkook's departure felt like the longest of his life. The heavy weight of everything that had happened in the past few days pressed down on his chest, and with each passing minute, the ache inside him only grew stronger. He stood in the yard, surrounded by the people who had been part of his life in the village—people who had shown him kindness, yet nothing seemed to matter anymore. His heart was elsewhere, yearning for someone he couldn't have.

"E-eomma." He hugged Taehee tightly, his tears soaking her blouse as she whispered comforting words in his ear. "I- don't- wanna- go-" he said while sobbing. Taehee's own eyes flowing off with tears. "P-Please- no- wanna go- bacck-" Jungkook almost wailed, his hands clutching Taehee like his life depends upon, Tahee also hugging him, feeling the same when she lost her daughter. She had been like a second mother to him, and even though Jungkook knew he had to leave, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something vital was being ripped away from him. He pulled back slightly, looking at her with pain in his eyes. "E-eomma pl-please d-don't- forget me-" jungkook cried palming his mouth to stop sobbing. "Koo, i-i will never gonna forget y-you." She said and both of them hugged again crying. The separation was killing them.

“ eomma, P-Please- take care of y-you. Don't take an-anyone taunts serious, especially Taehyung's aunt," he said and breaks hug. "She's just jealous, because she ain't beautiful like my eomma," he said sniffling, while a teasing smile came on his lips. "And also his son isn't handsome like Taehyung, ignore her, she just annoying." Jungkook said and Taehee laughed, wiping her tears. "A-also please Take care of him,” Jungkook whispered, the words barely audible. His heart beating fast. Tears welling his eyes again. “Tell h-him… tell him I’m s-sorry for everything. Tell h-him that i- lo- I care about h-him." Jungkook said stopping his tears, while Taehee nodded with heavy heart, her eyes welling up with tears as she held him close again, not wanting to let go.

Jimin stood nearby, watching them, his face a mixture of sadness and understanding. Jungkook felt a lump form in his throat as he turned toward Jimin, the younger man offering him a small smile before stepping forward for one last embrace. Jungkook hugged Jimin tightly, feeling the loss of everything he had known." Hyung, please take care of you.. and don't forget about me." Said jungkook, pouting. Jimin smiled, his eyes watering, "No, I'll never forget my little bestie." Jimin said ruffling jungkook's hairs. "Only if Jeon Jungkook the famous model of Calvin Klein-" "No!! Only bestie, no model, no Jeon Jungkook, I'm your kookoo only." Jungkook said immediately stopping jimin, frowning cutely. "Okay okay, kookoo-ah." Jimin said hugging once again. He breaked hug with jimin and looked around to find him-

But despite the warmth around him, Jungkook’s eyes constantly searched for the one person he hadn’t yet seen.

Taehyung.

Taehyung was nowhere to be found. Jungkook’s heart skipped a beat when he didn't find him around. It has been long time, that he didn't saw him, and only few minutes had left for him to go. Every time he looked around, praying that the man he loved, the one who had once been his closest companion, would appear from behind the trees or down the path. But there was no sign of him.

"Eomma, where is Taehyung?" Jungkook asked his heart beating like drum, he's been waiting for Taehyung from last 20 minutes, but he's not where to be seen. "Don't know, koo. I also didn't saw him." The replied made jungkook's mind go black. "W-what? Jimin hyung, have-have you seen Tae- do you know where he's?" Jungkook asked, and for the first time jimin don't know where was his friend. "No, I didn't saw him either
- wait, lemme call him." "I called him twice but he isn't picking up." Jungkook said feeling lump in his throat. "His phone is switched off" jimin replied, and again dialed in hope, but no reply again. Jungkook felt surface slipping. His mind making bad scenarios about Taehyung.
