Sammy's P.O.V

"Sammy." A cold voice calls.

I run into the living room.

"Nate." I smile.

"What's up babe." Nate says taking a drink of whatever was in the cup.

"You'll never guess. Skate remembers me, I mean his memory is slowly coming but it's there." I smile and spin on a stool.

"Oh." His face drops slightly.

"Nate. Are you okay?" I ask he turns away.

"I-I'm fine." His voice cracks as he walks away, to his room I'm guessing.

I shrug it off, grabbing my stuff to shower.

I let the cold water run on my back. For some reason I'm crying. I don't know why. It's different. The whole thing with Skate. He's different, i mean. Obviously he's different, he has amnesia. I'd do anything for him to get him memory. I just want things back to the the way they were. When Skate was sweet and caring, not that he isn't now. But yknow what i mean. When Nathan was my cocky best friend. And when Nate always tried killing me. I know I sound crazy, but everything was a surprise with them. Kept me on my toes. And I missed it. I missed Nathan. Always making smart comments, staying up late, being his cocky self. But it all changed. And it was all my fault. I didn't let Skate drive, I didn't slow down. I looked away from the road. It's my fault Skate can't remember. It's my fault Nathan's gone.

My cries are drowned out by the water hitting against the floor. I shake my head, and turn off the water. I dry off and change, I wash my face before leaving the bathroom.

As I'm fixing my hair I here sobs. I knit my eyebrows together, and follow the cries. They lead me to Skate's room, his back facing me.

"I-I honestly love you Sammy." The painting is clutched in his hands.

"I love you too Skate." I smile to myself.

"That's the thing. You'll always love Skate." He says, his voice is raspy and he turns around.

I realize his eyes aren't brown, they're Nate's cold eyes.
