...just remember that Cerberus, the hell hound that guards the underworld, originates from the Indo- European word Kerberos (whith a dot above the k that my keyboard won't let me do) which evolved to Kerberos (without the dot) during the Greek era then changed to Cerberus in the switch between geek and Latin.

Kerberos means spotted.
