Thakur Palace – After a Month

A month had passed in silence, with no actions taken by either the Rathores or the Thakurs. It felt like the calm before a storm.

In the Thakur household, Virendra and Chandni lived like strangers under the same roof. They barely spoke, only exchanging words when absolutely necessary. What had once been a small gap in their relationship had now become an unbridgeable chasm.

"No, I won’t do anything like this. This is wrong”, Virendra spoke, being angry. “You have to do this Virendra, this is important”, Viraj spoke in a convincing tone.

Virendra's face turned red with anger as he glared at Viraj. "I won't do it, Viraj. It's not right. We can't just harm innocent people to get what we want."

Viraj's expression turned cold and calculating. "Innocent people? Ha! They're just pawns in our game, Virendra. And pawns are meant to be sacrificed."

Virendra shook his head, disgust written all over his face. "I won't be a part of this, Viraj. You're going to have to find someone else to do your dirty work."

Viraj's eyes narrowed, his voice taking on a menacing tone. "You're making a big mistake, Virendra. You're going to regret not doing what I say."

Virendra stood his ground, his eyes locked on Viraj's. "I'm not afraid of you, Viraj. And I'm not going to back down. You can't bully me into doing something I don't want to do."

The air was thick with tension as the two men faced off against each other. It was clear that Virendra had finally reached his breaking point, and he was no longer willing to go along with Viraj's plans.

But Viraj was not a man to be underestimated. He was ruthless and cunning, and he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. And what he wanted was to destroy the Rathores and take their place as the most powerful family in the region.

Viraj's expression changed, a sly smile spreading across his face. "You're a foolish man, Virendra," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "You think you can stand up to me? You think you can refuse to do what I say?"

Virendra stood tall, his eyes flashing with anger. "I won't be intimidated by you, Viraj. I won't do something that goes against my principles."

Viraj chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound. "Principles? Ha! You're just a weak man, Virendra. And weak men can be broken."

Virendra's eyes narrowed, his fists clenched at his sides. "What are you talking about, Viraj?"

Viraj's smile grew wider. "I'm talking about your precious wife, Chandni. I'm talking about the secrets she's been keeping from you.”

Virendra's face went white, his eyes wide with shock. "What do you mean?" he whispered.

Viraj leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I mean that Chandni has been having an affair with another man."
