Chapter 1
(Intro)
Chloe's POV
My little brother Matthew is turning 8 today and he is having his party, he won't stop asking me what I got him. "I can't tell you, then it won't be a surprise." I said hoping that he would stop "but I want to know!" He whined "I can't tell you, you will see when you open it." I said "fine." He sighed finally giving up. "Are you excited for Amber and Lexie to come over?" I asked. Amber and Lexie are my best friends, we have known each other for 9 years we met in 2nd grade and we are 15 and almost 16 now. "Yes and I am exited about Brady, Shelby, John, Caleb, Arron, and Carter!" He said not stopping to take a breath "Woah slow down." I said and laughed.
(1 hour later...)
My Mom, Dad, Matt and I drove down to the pool to set up his birthday decorations, we tied racecar balloons to one of the pool chairs, put snacks on the table along with some drinks, we hung a banner on the tent that said HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY! There was no one at the pool, which was good so it would just be all of us. A couple minutes later Lexie and her 6 year old sister Shelby opened the gate and came in. "Where are your parents sweetie?" My mom asked "They should be in soon, they are unloading the car" she said as she handed my mom an present. My mom put the present on the table and I hugged Lexie and then I hugged Shelby. "How are you doing Shelby?" I asked "good, look I have a bad scrape on my knee" she said and lifted up her knee so I could see "how did that happen?" I asked "I fell of of my scooter, but I'm okay" she said "I'm glad your okay." I said. Looking up at Lexie, she was softly laughing at Shelby. "Where's Amber?" I asked looking around "oh never mind she's right there!" I said excitedly, I ran to the gate as Lexie wished Matt a happy birthday.
I gave Amber a hug and Lexie coming up behind me have her a hug too then we both gave her 4 year old brother Brady a high five. Lexie's and Amber's parents walked in behind us. Amber's mon gave my mom a hug, then Lexie's mom gave her a hug too. Our parents sat down at the picnic table and started talking to each other.
I hope you liked this first chapter i want to make this a mystery book but this was kind of an intro so you would know who was who.
_CrazyA_ and foreverdance47 gave me the idea to start writing a book and we are all giving ideas to each other to write this book go read their books too, they are both great writers
