The guards stopped dead in there tracks as they hide behind anything the would shield them from sight.
"I'm selfish, because I didn't want to leave you." The blonde girl, Clarke, told a brunette boy, Bellamy.
"Once you get a hold of them, get them back to Abby and Kane." The commanding guard told the others. The guard stood up, pointing his gun at Clarke and Bellamy. "Put your hands in the air!" He hollered.
They both turned to the guards, wide eyed at what was happening.
"Put your hands in the air!" The guard yelled, this time louder and firmer than before.
Clarke slowly raised her hands in the air, but Bellamy only stepped in front of her.
"Put your hands in the air, now! I swear to God I will shoot you." The guard yelled at Bellamy.
Bellamy raised her hands in the air, still standing in front of Clarke.
"Clarke," Bellamy muttered under his breath, remaining as quiet as he could be. "Clarke, run."
Clarke slowly took a step back, and the guards noticed.
"Where do you think you're going, missy?" The guard asked in an extremely creepy voice. The guard stepped closer to Clarke.
"Step back." Bellamy ordered.
"Excuse me?" The guard asked, angrily.
"Stay away from her." Bellamy said with much force in his voice.
The guard stepped closer to Bellamy, getting up in his face. "What did you just say to me?!"
Bellamy head bud the guard, sending pain spreading throughout his head. "Go, run!" Bellamy told Clarke as she and himself started to run, but he stayed behind her, wanting to make sure she was safe.
"Bellamy, where are we gonna go? We can't go to the others, the guards follow us."
"Just keep running, Clarke." Bellamy said, and then a shot was fired, lucky it didn't hit either of them, but the guards were shooting.
_______Boom. A gun shot echoed through the air.
"Oh my God." Abby stood up. "What's going on?" Of course the question was rhetorical, because Kane knew just as much as Abby.
Abby stood up and started running to the sound as she heard another gun shot.
"Why are the guards shooting?!" Abby yelled to Kane, who was a bit ahead of her.
Kane didn't answer, he was running and then the next moment he was frozen.
"Kane, what's wrong?" Abby yelled as she ran faster to catch up.
"Uh. Be-Bellamy." Clarke stuttered.
"What's wro-" Bellamy turned around to see Kane. "Oh my God."
Author's Note: This book is so close to the end. I can't believe it.
