"Bakit?" Aiah and Mikha stood still like statues, embracing the silence. It was actually getting awkward, especially to Colet who's confused about what's going on. When nobody dared to answer her, she cleared her throat, loudly, enough for the two to snap out of their mini staring contest.
Finally acknowledging Colet's presence, Aiah tore her gaze at Mikha, regaining her composure first before opening her mouth to speak.
Where were we, again? Aiah thought for a second.
It was a good thing she didn't runaway this time, her hands weren't as sweaty like the usual too, and somehow, she can still breathe properly, it's just that...her brain has forgot to do its work.
Still better than storming out like total a freak.
Good job, Aiah. She smiled, internally.
"Ah...Cols, hindi muna pala ako makakasabay sa'yo." She informed Colet - who raised an eyebrow urging Aiah to continue. "May pag-uusapan kami ni Mikha."
Mikha could feel the eyes at her, making her feel uncomfortable. She forced a smile. She felt like it was a wrong timing. In her defense, she didn't know.
"Text kita agad pag nakauwi na ako." Dagdag ni Aiah nang mapansin ang pagdadalawang isip ng kaibigan niya.
Colet looks at Mikha for the last time before she sighed. "Sige. Kung mahirapan kang makasakay, tawagan mo lang ako. Sunduin kita."
Aiah nods her head, she followed Colet by her eyes until the latter disappeared from her sight. Then, she slowly shifted back at Mikha.
"Ano nga pala 'yong pag-uusapan na'tin?" She calmly asked, her eyes meeting Mikha's who - as part of her mannerism, licks her button lip.
Mikha squinted her eyes, and look for a place to start their conversation.
"Uhmm...may convenient store malapit dito, would it be okay with you if doon tayo mag-usap?"
Kaagad tumango si Aiah. She's starving, she badly wants to eat.
"Sure, saan tayo?"
-
Mikha placed her food on the table, and sat across Aiah. She slowly took a bite of the hotdog while watching Aiah munch the food in her busy mouth. They just got their orders, or no - Aiah just got her orders, complete. She had donuts, cup noodles, burger, sparkling, chips and an ice cream. While the red haired girl only brought herself a hotdog and a soda.
Mikha seemed to be invisible to Aiah at that very moment, and Mikha just let her finished in peace first before striking a conversation. She was just about to open the soda when Aiah leaned her back comfortably on the chair, the palm of her hand draw circles on her stomach.
Mikha didn't mind her, but found herself keeping an eye at the tall girl.
"So...Ms. Lim. Ano nga 'yong pag-uusapan na'tin?" Aiah asked, now back at being prim and proper.
Mikha rubbed her hand on her knee, then put it over the table, clasped together.
