And he wants to go to the marines when he can. I support him in everyway. But it scares me soo much to think of him possibly never coming home. This story was also made because my aunt and uncle were both shipped. And This is just kind of something that came to my head. One moment was all it took to know that i wanted to spend every secound of every moment of every day of every year, with you.
There was a girl named haley. She was happy. She was loved by all of her friends, she had food, enough money , a house and everything she could ask for. She met a boy named john and she really liked him. But she didn't want to go out with him because he cheated on all of his ex's and she didn't want to let herself fall for him if it was bound to end with pain. 4 months after they started hanging out, He asked her out. He told her things that made her smile, he made her feel like she was the most important thing in his life. She said yes, She loved him more than life its self. She even cried once and a while because of how happy she was. They got into small fights and broke up twice but she always took him back. She was hopelessly in-love with him. But she sometimes feared he didn't feel the same way.
So one day she texted him,
Her: Babe, How much do you love me?
Him: More than anything in the world. Why are you asking?
She didn't answer, but she fell asleep with a big smile on her face.
The next day John came over her house and they hung out, it was a normal day. He started talking about how he wanted to join the marines when he was old enough. They talked and talked about how they were going to grow up together and have kids and get married as soon as he got back. He promised her that he would be with her forever.....A couple years passed. They stayed together. She was never scared of him not feeling the same anymore. It was Johns last year of highschool. After highschool he was leaving. Going thousands of miles away. She cried when they talked about it. It all seemed too soon. She didn't want him to leave. They had been spending almost every secound together for 5 years. Now he was going across seas. It hurt her to think about it. Her biggest fear was him not coming back.
It was the night before his graduation ceremony. He told her he wanted to celebrate early with her, so he slept over. He came over and took her out to eat, took her to the movies, and came back to go to bed. They walked into her bedroom door, She took off her shoes, put on pajamas and layed down waiting for him to do the same. But he just stood in the doorway with a smile. "What are you doing?" She asked. He got down on one knee and said," Haley may, We have been together for 6 years tomorrow. You have made my life better than it could have ever been, You are a true blessing in my life."
*A tear ran down her face*

With a tear running down his face, he continued," 4 Years ago we made a promise that we would be together forever. We made a promise that We would never give up on eachother. It would be the biggest blessing To have you in my life, every secound of every hour of every day, of every year. That is why i am asking you, Haley May, to marry me?" "yes" She softly said with tears now pouring down her face, "I will marry you!" He slipped the ring on her finger, and got into bed with her. They talked about planning the wedding when he got back. They talked about everything they could think of. And fell asleep, completely happy in eachothers arms that night.
Surley the next day he graduated, and soon enough, was shipped off to the marines. His last words to her were," I promise i will come back, and be the best husband you could ever have. I love you haley!" She heard those words every night in her head before she fell asleep. She counted the days till she could finally see him again on christmas. ..........................................................................But three weeks after he left, she was diagnosed with cancer. She didn't want to worry him, so she planned on telling him when he was back. It hurt her to think about being without him.
Christmas came, and he was back for a week. She was so happy to see him. On the thursday of his second week home. She told him. "I have cancer." He cried for a very long time. And was shipped back next morning. Everyday he heard those words in his head. "I have cancer." He told himself that he only had another 10 months, and he would be home with her.
She wrote him everyday, and he wrote back as soon as possible. But it was three months before he was due to come back home that he got a letter from her saying the doctors told her that she had only another 4 months left to live...... He couldn't believe it.
Three months went by and he came home to her. He spent every secound with her. He never left her side. She was hospitalized after two months of him being home. He never left the hospital.....She died the two weeks after she was hospitalized. Her last words being," I love you John."
After 3 weeks of being completely depressed. He found a note from haley. It read,
Dear John, I love you so much! I know this must hurt you more than anything right now to be reading this. But there is something that i regret never telling you...... I had a miss carrage 4 months after you first left. I'm so sorry that i never told you. I didn't want to hurt you.. And when i was diagnosed i was to scared that it would just be worse. (The rest was scribbled out)
2 Days after, his mother found him dead in his closet with a rope tied around his neck. And a note by his bed.
Mom, I love you so much, i want you to know that i am happy in heaven with haley. 5 years before i proposed to her, i promised we would be together forever. I didn't want to break that promise and i didn't. I am now with haley forever. Please continue life happy and be strong for me. Please keep shay happy and safe. Tell her i love her . I never wanted to leave you guys. I'm so sorry. I love you. -John.
