▶ Marry Me - Jason Derulo

If you'd told sixteen year Jungkook that someday, he would no longer be the rebel child who was bitter at the world but instead live his dream with a great job, a house, a family and someone he loved very much, he would have told you to quit the weed.

Right now, as he stood in the sunset, eyes gleaming with tears and happiness alike, he felt proud of himself for not giving up.

Because walking to him, was the love of his life, dressed in a pristine white suit, a single plumeria flower tucked behind his ear.

Kim Taehyung.

The most beautiful man in the world who stole his heart with a midnight song and a charger cable.

He held a bouquet of pink peonies, eyes shining with unshed tears, being led to the center stage by Jung Hyun on one side and Ray on the other.

Jungkook, hair wind-kissed and tousled, a soft grin etched across his lips, held out his hand which the raven took and he easily pulled him up, close to himself.

He almost kissed him right then until he remembered their vows were still to be taken.

Their eyes met and held—tender, awed, disbelieving that this moment was real.

"Hi, Granny pants!" Jungkook whispered playfully, earning a flustered smack on his chest by his love.

They giggled softly, the sunset behind them ethereal - skies painted dazzling colours of pinks and golds. The venue, a privately owned beach in Jeju, was decorated tastefully with a calming beige and white palette.

The wind was gentle, tugging at the white linen drapes tied to the wooden arch under which they stood—barefoot, radiant, and devastatingly beautiful.

Their friends and family smiled at their obvious giddiness, Jimin discreetly trying to wipe the tears streaming down his face. Hoseok put an arm around him.

Namjoon, still with short hair from the military, stood between them as their officiant, wiping a suspicious tear with a casual flick of his sleeve.

“Do you,” he said with a warm voice cracking slightly, “Kim Taehyung, take Jeon Jungkook to be your lawfully wedded husband, your partner, your anchor, your home?”

Taehyung’s voice was a whisper, but the words were thunder in Jungkook’s heart.

“I do. I have. I always will.”

“And do you,” Namjoon turned to Jungkook, “Jeon Jungkook, take Kim Taehyung to be your husband, your mirror, your muse, your forever?”

“I do,” Jungkook said, eyes glistening. "For as long as my heart keeps beating. Even when I didn’t know what love really was, I think a part of me was waiting for you.”

Taehyung gave a watery laugh, and Jungkook reached forward to wipe his tears.

Namjoon smiled. “Then by the power vested in me by this beautiful place, and your ridiculous persistence in loving each other through time zones and tantrums, I now pronounce you husbands. You may kiss—finally.”

Without wasting a second, Jungkook swooped Taehyung, dipped him low and kissed him passionately.

It was soft at first, trembling from emotion, but deepened when Taehyung fisted the lapel of Jungkook’s jacket, like he’d been waiting a lifetime.

The guests cheered.

Seagulls scattered into the sky. The sun dipped just below the horizon as if bowing to them.
